While I'm not a fan of much metal, I can handle it for gaming most of the time - especially instrumental stuff. How bout Apocalyptica? Come to think of it, I think it's about time I redid my iPod for the upcoming campaign... Hey, good idea! Apocalyptica is great, especially the softer songs. I mean, I do not want a barking mad norwegian guy who wasn't hugged as a child to sing about satan and his mum when we play, but a soundtrack that befits the setting. Mordheim is NOT an anime AMV, so all metal goes in the trash bin, but yes, Apocalyptica just might work! |

| Ya I'm not a big fan of when they try to emulate chunky metal guitar sounds, but I do like the softer stuff. | |

| And I always psyche myself up before a game with my Marienburgers by watching a season of "Queer eye for the straight guy" or even "Project Runway". |

Mordheim is NOT an anime AMV, so all metal goes in the trash bin, but yes, Apocalyptica just might work! I have Apocalyptica's Cult Album. I had not thought of using it for mood setting in Mordheim, or any music for that matter. But I really do enjoy cult, and I almost never ever listen to metal. Another possibility could be Tauriasas, or however it's spelled, the guys that started the whole viking metal sub-subgenre. When I paint it is often a rather long session, as opposed to an hour here or an hour there, so I often put on a movie. Recently I started playing the Lord of the Rings trilogy this morning since I have three days off to paint before I start a new job next week. Maybe if Rudeboy brings some Dwarves albums to Monday Night Mordheim we can let the dwarf players decide if they play better when under the influence of Dwarven music. HAHA

| I think Tom Waits even LOOKS like he's from Mordheim! So, Tom Waits it is. A friend of mice introduced me to Blind Guardian, and of course I can't forget Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, the retro-geekish progressive rock-messiahs!
Somehow whenever I hear Battle of the Mounds from Conan the Barbarian soundtrack, I get the sudden urge to rip off my shirt and cut some heads!

| When I play Mordheim I traditionally listen to orchestral music, as if it was an action packed blockbuster film! This is because it really helps capture moods, create tension and build up to a climax. I always think that it adds an extra layer into the story, through atmosphere and emotion. ~ Inception Official Soundtrack ~ Gladiator Official Soundtrack ~ Vendetta - Position Music Orchestral Series Vol. 6 ~ Two Steps From Hell - Invincible | |

I honestly can't think of a band more equipped to obliterate any element of mood (or player concentration) than the authors of Lesbian Nun. Arguably it is Dwarven music but only for Trollslayers after a week long bender in the bowels of Bugmans You might as well lob a flash bang into the room EDIT: Actually now I think: literally perfect Orc Waaagh music

| As with Pen&Paper roleplaying I like to use soundtracks. What goes really well with Mordheim in my opinion: Dark Souls (Sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F47lkEWihpo&feature=related ) Age of Conan (Sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Efl_PNTvPmU ) The Witcher + The Witcher 2 (Samples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6antggGlH8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve63nrGxIyM)Furthermore there are many Soundtracks that have some tracks that can be used well, for example: Game of Thrones Season One ( Winter is Coming, You Win or You Die, Small Pack of Wolves, Fire and Blood) Game of Thrones Season Two ( The Throne is Mine, Wildfire, Don`t Die With A Clean Sword, Pay The Iron Price, One More Drink Before the War, Stand and Fight, Three Blasts) I already posted quite a few links for you to listen to. As a general rule can be said that most fantasy movie/game soundtracks have some dark/action-oriented tracks that go well with Mordheim. | |

| We use the Conan the Barbarian soundtrack... some metal, Interview with a vampire soundtrack, than some metal and Lords of the ring soundtrack and ... erh.. some metal...
I like both... but I think Conan and Interview with a vampire bring something...
