| The Pirates' Trap was on EBay just a few days ago, but nobody bought it, as it seemed, so maybe the seller puts it up again in the next days / weeks. Saw it on Lead Adventure for the first time, never had heard of it before. | |

| I looked at those adds, I think those are great toys for cheap and deserve closer look. A pro paint job might look excellent. | |

| So I managed to buy the Gladiators uprising for a very decent price. At first I was very thrilled to see the contents of the box! There's a lot of detail in the pieces and it is completly modular so you can make any design you want. I even believe the different kits are all interchangeable, which is cool. It is build using a "push and click" system so it can be assembled completly without glue and broken down afterwards. Though for some parts I would recommend using plastic glue to cover up the gaps. the building iinstructions are in Russian but the pictures say more than enough So this kit is very very cool, I think it's even better and more usefull than citadel scenery BUTapparently in russia height 28mm means the mini's are literally 28mm high, including the thick plastic base and helmet decorations! So in comparison to GW mini's they are more like 25mm not a major issue but it is noticably to small for humans. I guess I will have to convert my set into a dwarven structure, perhaps for use in WHF I did take a picture with a GW human, dwarf and skaven to show the size but unfortunatly my camera is sabotaging me so you'll have to do with this picture I took from the interwebz A gw human's shoulders are the same height as the doors. Really a shame, this product had real good potential! unfortunatly it is to small I have a kit and I can guarantee you that it is a really cool product! alas! for sake of completion here's a comparison with some GW humans and an old citadel chaos dwarf

| Oh, sad news. Still a cheap way to get some walls and the towers are good for spare parts at least. | |

| Hmm. Now I want to get some of these and cut 'em up, expand 'em to 2" floor height. The doors are the main problem methinks. | |

that should be possible, allthough very fidly the battlements are a little oversized for the walls anyway, they wouldn't need any more work | |

| I agree with using this castle as a dwarven structure. The castle looks amazing so you might as well make the most of it! | |

| it's been a while, but at long last the promised update! I wanted to use my set to make a dwarven brewery for use in Mordheim but even though the scale would fit I felt that gameplay would suffer because of this scale. So I decided to make a fortress for use in warhammer fantasy, for which the smaller scale doesn't hurt so bad. so here I present my fort: (edit: colours are brighter on the photo's than hey are in real life) taken over by chaos marauders: it was completly build without glue, except for one small part where I made some alterations. The middle piece of the arch in front of the entrance door was made by me using miliput and when that was finished, I still had enough left over to make this: more pics of the gallows in my terrain blogwhat do you think? pretty cool castle, no? | |

| That is indeed a PRETTY COOL Castle...the Gallows fits into the "pretty cool" category also. VERY NICELY painted up! I'm sure there will be all sorts of outside the city scenarios for that bit of loveliness. | |

| Thanks Captain Bernhardt! I'll buy some for my dwarves...when i'll find a shop. I found only two options for Italians...the ebay shop and a shop from Ukraine. Last one has MUCH LOWER prices than the first (half!)...where did you buy it? | |

| I like the details, it's a pity it fits just to dwarf-size miniatures. But it's certainly good choice for dwarf and chaos dwarf players | |
