| That is awesome. I just browsed through your blog and drooled over the pretty pictures, and The Shoppe looks freakin' sweet! I love the little storefront extension, it makes me want to make a shop or three...and I probably will. Theo | |

| how about that! two updates in one week! marvellous now if I could just take some decent pictures then it would be worth something those of you with a good memory mights remember I was building a modular game board with playable sewers under the streets. I now finished the first of the modules. And I can add that it's immediatly the last one I've build in this manner. Hirst arts bricks on a wooden base are far to heavy. Next moules will be entirely from foam and foamcard. here it is in all of it's blurry glory: the crate and the chair are used as hidden handles to lift the streets off and now the painted part of Mordheim so far: Glruk and some friends defend the shoppe from beastmen attack hope you like Any suggestions to improve on my painting? | |

| I'm a big fan of multilevel gameboards and so I like your first module naturally. We have similar ones but smaller and made of foamcard only. Your sewers are nice, but I think you can achive the effect easier by just leaving space between different modules if you should happen to build some more. Your painting is just fine imo. After all it is terrain, not "special character terrain" | |

| You have a great looking board there! As for feedback on your painting, its all very neat. much more neat than i would bother with for terrain. However, i do think that your choices of colors are a bit too bright and "happy". It doesnt quite feel like a destroyed city full of death and strange horrors that lurk in the alleys just out of sight. it could be much more dark, and blackened with sot to give that "scary" feeling. anyway, good luck with future projects | |

| @ Moffe, thanks for the feedback. I deliberatly chose to use more colours. I don't want my city to look all greyish. but I do believe the pictures kinda overexaggerate the bright colours. anyway I made some progress during the summer: made these gallows: I still need to make a staircase that will come in the corner I also present a WIP of my trees: what do you think? does the tree need more brown? | |

| Funny the Gallows looks just as cool here as in your other thread. The additional angle shots show it off, however, to a greater advantage. I LOVE what you're doing with the G.W. tree...the surrounding masonry is an EXCELLENT urban touch. They look much better without the flat foliage. | |

| Wow, that gallows is very cool. Is that made from the Hirst Arts ruined fieldstone tower mold? It really came out nicely. Trees look great, too. | |

| thanks Nala. As always you are much to kind! The trees are not nearly finished, wait until they're done luckyjoe the gallows is made from this stufI'm thinking of darkening the rope with devlan mud. Anyone ever tried this or something other before? My test piece came much to dark out so perhaps I can water down my devlan mud? | |

| thanks for the praises guys! I'm looking forward to get it painted. here's some unmodified pics: there's more HEREAs you may or may not have seen, the gates are hinged so they can open and close. There are two main gates and two smaller ones, which unfortunatly couldn't be hinged so there's an entrance on each side. This is just fase 1 of my build. Next up is a base to slide to graveyard in so it makes a smooth transition with my warhammer fantasy board. I'm also going to make a raised board as part of my modular mordheim board. The mausolea and statue can be raised from this to reveal the underground catacombs which will be completly playable now perhaps next week I can get started on the paintjob | |

| yes I really should do some more work on the duelling school! but it's kinda on hold now untill I finish my garden of morr and some other projects. But the main building is done, I'll try to rememeber to take some pics this weekend.
I don't highlight individually, just take one big flat brush and drybrush all over (just remember to drybrush in downward strokes, following the direction that light would travel)

cheers! Ah that explains where I seen them then. I was thinking that was a another line and was trying to track it down. After I get my base board to I was going to do a theme board off of one of the areas on the Mordheim map and my first though that either a Garden of Morr or the Arena. The GW set might be a bit pricey for me if I go the garden route, only other comperable lines is the set I can't track down and the Armorcast stuff which is pretty nice. Regardless of it your stuff looks amazing.
