Basing... round or square?

Heya guys

Its been a while since I played Mordheim, and I realize that the gaming enviroment might have changed a bit. I wonder, since I just purchased 5 very nicley painted pirates on round bases... will I be able to use them? I prefer round bases to the square ones. Or... will I be burned as a heretic for this?

Depends on the witch hunter you are playing against.

As far as I see it, most people have no problems with round bases, as long as you do not get too unreasonable yourself - like insisting on a human-sized model's not being able to be charged because of the roundness of its base &c.
There was also a stickied thread on round vs. square bases / -ing somewhere here on these forums, but I cannot find it at the moment ...

There are good arguments for and against round bases. The most important point I can make is make sure all the people in your gaming group use the same style bases. Just helps to avoid any disputes that might occur.
