New leader for my Marienburger : finished

So a new small project of mine: A new mini for my Marienburg leader.

My Marienburger are shown in the gallery section:

Here an updated picture from my leader (left one, redid the eyes)



I was able to buy him cathayan silk cloth during the campaign. The problem is the model did not look like a man who is wearing silk.

So i chose a fine model, i loved for such a long time, but i never had a reason to buy.

Now i nearly finished him within the last days, the only part which is missing is the base finishing with grass and stone.

And of course i want to show him to you:

I chose the Marienburgian color scheme yellow blue and red.

he turned out terrific, nice job, and now some highlights, dont forget em, it makes each mini two times better! And he is a real upgrade leader model, a real snobby marienburger captain, tres elegant mon ami!

Like it alot! The colours are - of course - nice, but the real gem is the pose. More pointing miniatures please!

He looks the part of a Marienburg Captain...very chic, & VERY NICELY DONE! The colors made the Man.

@smokezombie: I thought so too, but i had the problem that i had so many nice minis. All unpainted.

I changed my mind. I now believe that you have to paint your nicest minis to improve your painting skill.

And yes in one year i may paint much better than now, but i am really happy about this mini now.

And this (and all the nice comments in this forum) motivates me to paint more.

So: a minor update:

The base is finished:





I decided to not fill the base with too much stuff (for example crossbow, sword and so on), so the mini still is in the focus of the viewer.

More important: His soon to be new warhound (WIP)::





This dog was also a gift from floedebolle. So thanks again pal.

I hope i can finish him until next week.

Ahh, one of the old darkelf warhounds, love them. I dont know, but to buy a wardog for one of your heroes brings a bit colour and charactert to your warband, not to mention the extra portion of teeth!

Marco looks MARVELOUS...sorry I love alliteration: it's a character fault. VERY WELL DONE!
The War Hound is UBERCOOL...VERY expressive face.
