| NB: The prices are in Australian Dollars. Dreadstone Blight is basically the same as of Temple of Skulls, Witchfate Tor between that and the Fortress of Redemption. The ruin looks good for Mordheim! | |

| The ruin is VERY nice...a bit out of my price range, but nice nonetheless. it would look TERRIFIC in Mordheim, or E.I.F for that matter. | |

| That's some nice stuff. Unfortunately the "Tor" (which is German for "gate", by the way) has the usual overdose of skulls. Did you notice the Mordheim scenery in there? The doors look very similar to the one from the Mordheim sprue. I'd need a close up to be sure if it is the same or just similarly designed. Same with that oriel window on the tower. EDIT: I love the disclaimer: Models shown smaller than actual size - well, that better be true. | |

| Tor is also Old English for "Hill" and "Tower" though See Glastonbury TorSimilar to Mordheim plastics, but not quite the same. Cool! | |

| Ah, cool info.
And yes, the doors/windows are slightly different indeed. Perfect, this way they will match nicely.

| I really like the ruin. If nothing else it is good inspiration.
I have always thought that the plastic doors and windows were a bit on the small side for Mordheim. The reason being is that Mordheim buildings I build are typically a bit larger to allow for the figures to be placed inside.
It would however be pretty nice to have a supply of doors and windows without always having to make them.

| Hmmmm, I can see some potential bits for a mould in there... Now only if those bits were flat in stead of rounded...
Both pieces look very much alike, if I were to make a guess I would say one (Dreadstone Blight) is also used to make the other (Witchfate Tor), much like with the current range of scenery, where they use both the Chapel and the Watchtower to make the Fortified Mansion... Not bad, I can certainly see the potential of those kits!
EDIT: More cloaked figures, shield designs and skulls! A whole lot of reasons why I shouldn't start painting in a hurry! Soooo much more details to add!

| Cool, but I think I'll keep to making my own towers and buildings. For that price, I could make about a dozen of equal or slightly lesser quality. :3 | |

I'm pretty sure the "gubbins" are all separate components and the studio have just thrown everything on! The photos are from Warseer - scans of WD I think.

| The ruin looks pretty cool, but man that tower looks crazy. It looks like someone made a tower, and then just started tossing random junk on it til they couldn't fit any more. Some of it just looks like it doesn't belong, and the whole thing just looks cluttered and random. | |

| The ruins look nice; the tower is a little too cluttered.
I would love to get these and use the parts, piecemeal, to add to my own stuff.

| That's the typical GW style. I do hope that ForgeWorld will do better if they ever release new scenery (the coaching inn was awesome) but until then I look forward to the new releases from Tabletop World. | |

| This is just an assumption based on the other Warhammer buildings but, as WbK posted, I would wager that most of that detail is added bitz. Thus you can leave it off and use it elsewhere.
Table Top World rocks. Far better design and execution.

I would have to agree. Maybe the idea is to throw so much stuff on the tower that you dont pay attention to the painting at all!

| Liking the ruin, but have to agree with previous posts that the tower is a little over the top. | |

Shhhh... Even when this happens, I will just say I didn't plan this. Seriously, there seem to be an aweful lot of very nice bits on the kit, and most of these will be used for a mold.

| Just got my new WD. There are loads of photos of the interiors and different paint jobs. I'm more keen on the ruin now but less keen on the wizards tower now! | |

| I'm gonna say nothing about the looks about the tower but it seems extremely usefull for mordheim: every storey is removable and has detailed interior. And the two kits (ruin and tower) are 100% interchangeable. I like The new white dwarf has extensive articles about it | |

| They look great but they are out of my price range as well. Mainly the fact that I dont get many peole coming over for games. So they would just collect dust. Heck I have a Warhammer Empire Village set, still in the box. Haven't been used yet. | |

| I have been fortunate enough to aquire a Tower of Sorcery...
To begin with, the thing is HUGE (comes in a box the size of an army deal), so you certainly get enough plastic for your cash! There are a few downsides though... First up is the fact you only get the parts to build the tower, so no sprues filled with cool extra bits like the previous scenery sets. Second, the tower isn't as detailed as the other sets. It lacks a certain 'sharpness' to the details. I was going to canbalise the kit for cool bits, but there aren't any and the features that are there are a bit to blurred to use for molds.
That said, it most certainly is an impressive piece of kit and I do like it very much!
