| BE WARNED: Our Mordheimer will soon be posting photos of the NOW COMPLETED Red Brotherhood U&G War Band. Those with discerning tastes &/or a weak stomachs ARE ADVISED TO GO NO FURTHER IN THIS THREAD!While we're waiting for himself to run out of better things to do with his time, I'll fill you in on WONDERS you are about to witness: this is the first of two war bands and will follow the "official" Orc & Goblin list with the UberGoblins being "counts-as-Orcs". The UberGoblins are the product of genetic mutation caused by the consumption of a certain sub-species of Mad Cap Mushroom with a high concentration of Fungeroid. The side effect of this substance causes an increase in size, & muscle mass with a noticeable decrease in common sense, a rare quality in Night Goblins at best [as a banned substance it keeps them from participating in Professional sports such as Blood Bowl, & others that have no edged weapons as a silly rule] . Whereas Orcs generally choose leaders who are great, hulking, muscle bound psychopaths, Night Goblins choose UberGoblin leaders who are cunning, sneaky, drug-crazed, muscle bound psychopaths [in the background Gracy Slick wails out "White Rabbit"]. SO HERE THEY COME, READY OR WHATEVER:In descending order we have:
- The Grand Poobah & Guiding Light, Wastrel McWhack
- Truth in Advertising Exec & Beast of Burden, Greedy
- Barf the Squig(herder)
- UberGoblin Rabid
- Shaman of Dubious Worth, Mad-As-A-Loon McGoon
- Fastest Gun in the Old World, Ringo
- Last & possibly least: UberGoblin Roach

| These models ooze character - they seem a really weird bunch! There's lots of flavour in their gadgets and extras. The one piece that has caught my attention is the moon - very, very good.
The in-colour (green-to-green etc) contrast is very sharp. Some of it might be the camera work, but it seems most of it is a painting choice. This will really make the models pop when on the table, and it furthers the feeling of lunacy as well.
Every single model is unique and has its own story to tell, an attribute every warband benefits from. If I wasn't so hasty I would like to put that amount of detail and thought into my minis.
All in all, a school book example of an inspiring warband, in every aspect, from modelling to painting to gaming possibilities. | |

| Very excellent work. Every model is an incredibly unique and characterful conversion... the height makes them seem a little more threatening than normal gobbos too - they remind me a bit of the bog witch from Legend.

The last group of minis I sent to Mordheimer for photos is an ENTIRE Army of the Little Green Psychos (about 2,500 pts. worth); they're of a very similar style with the addition of quite a lot of rather large mushrooms to hide behind/perch upon, a couple of Giants, & a Rhino of the fauna variety...I'll post them when Himself make the pics available.  | |

| really like the way you individualised each piece, some nice extras as well, like the stary clock but i think the stars would look better doing them in very thin, almost watery coats working inwards letting each coat dry, the middle dotted with thicker white making it look like it's glowing i think i still have a picture of a wizard i did some time ago, i'll post it if i find it to showe you what i mean, good work though  | |

| Thanks, shanks! I understand what you mean about the stars...an inner brightness surrounded by a pale corona/halo effect. On a more serious piece I might have gone for a different effect; Goblins have an innate silliness that rather precludes such subtleties.
