Sigmars Honor - Scenery! How Exciting! ^_^

Heya guys, here is my first Witch Hunter Miniature, my priest; father Tully. I'm trying to get them out quickly (11 miniatures to go, 19 days till tourney), and so he was done in one afternoon.



There's going to be a theme running through all of them, mostly based around the red seen here. Even my flagellants will be brighter than normal... Just couldnt bring myself to paint so much brown ^_^

Great colors,
I'm going for a brighter/more colorfull scheme with my witch hunters aswell.
LOVE the details on the paper (on his back)

VERY COOL! Red is the color of choice for the actual Inquisition; SO...it fits with the persona of the Mordheim version. Burning Old Ladies doesn't mean you can't be a snappy dresser . VERY WELL DONE!

The red theme will turn out great! this battle priest looks amazing! not to mention that you finished him in one afternoon! thats just plain sick !

Nicely done. The red looks really sharp. I've painted that warrior priest twice over the years, once as for a commission and once for myself, but seeing yours makes me want to take another shot at it.

P.S. I'm jealous that someone in your area runs Mordheim tournaments.

Most are done by pretty heavy washes and there's imperfections (not to mention some mould lines!!) all over them. Ah well, they're quick

Adeptus Battlegrey basecoat
Badab black wash over everything
Fortress Grey very lightly drybrushed over it
White (I use Vallejo flat white) for the tips.

Hoooo, very nice use of bits and once more a wicked paint-job!

Blind brothers are great! Very good job on clothes & flesh.

I'd only add more orange to fire, maybe it's because of pics but it looks like it was too much red.

You're a natural...GREAT looking minis. VERY WELL DONE!
Tell anyone who points out mold lines that you like the way they look...it'll will annoy the bejeezus out of them.

I first stepped into a Games Workshop on August the 19th 2008. Painted up my first space marine four days later. I have a A Blog thread over at 40k forums which has all my stuff from the start. You need an account to see the first few pics before I started using Flickr to host my images... I could post my first ever miniature if you want... It's not pretty...

I tip my virtual hat to you... You really are a natural, just as DeafNala said.
Especially metals and red are looking ace. They also have very nice grim look on them without being over the top. Overall great painting.

I find it interesting to see how people have progressed as painters since the beginning, so it would be nice to see your fist one too.

In all honesty, compared to my first mini this one is far superior.
You've had some artistic hobbies before, or are you just one of those lucky ones who have the talent built-in?
