Pretty sure that's not right! Black Orcs used to wear fur maybe... and Orc skin definitely gets darker as they get older and tougher, not lighter!

Though to be honest I've never painted Black Orcs or Goblins in anything other than my standard Orc skin colour!

No seriously the first metal black orcs had fur for sure! Way back befor the first plastic ones... they looked like gorillas!

No gorilla fur on Bob's Iron Claws either. I think you are mistaking Bob's first tries at chainmail for fur. He got better.

I only have one of Nick Lund's Black Orcs left. Long time and many moves since then.

Probably a shody paint job of mail then... to bad gw changes the fluff every edition.... luckely the didnt mess up my beloved orcs as they did chaos last edition... wtf is that all about???
