Oh, I agree, there is problem with many of those legs and this model on unit filler looks a little... weird But the other models in this unit will look normal. I try to remember it later. I have many GG units to do, so don't worry

After painting I use... nail enamel ... but I think gloss varnish would be good

The basing is grandiose too.

2 minor points of micro-criticism:

1) I think the poses are slightly unnatural (i know these models very well and that they can be tricky to pose properly though) because the centers of gravity are somewhat skewed on some models.

2) The orange is a little too flashy for my old-fashioned taste.

But other than that, jaw-dropping performance Skavenblight... once more.

Since I naturally tend to list to port, the poses are fine.
Personally I think Fantasy figures should look fantastic; SO...your "flashy" colors look right on target...actually rather Autumnal. VERY WELL DONE as always!

Wow, I never thought about Woodelves during autumn...I guess they would change their colors to bright oranges/yellows/reds....

Very nice Skaven! My wife also started her WE army for WHFB as well. Beautiful painting and great inspiration!

I have no time for my elves because of those dwarfs I'm currently painting, but I found some time to finish 2 little things - unit fillers. I use many of them in my army, because I want to make 3 glade guard units from 24 minis

The little one is a simple forest spirit. The bigger one is dryad, awaking and very angry that someone has interrupted her sleep More pics you can find HERE

STUMP GIRL ROCKS! That is one VERY COOL, BEAUTIFULLY PAINTED piece. The thing that appeals to me about the Wood Elves is their tie in with The Faerie Court/Folk. The Little One is also an EXCELLENT piece. When you've finally finished the army, if an army can ever be finished, you'll have an AMAZINGLY, CREATIVE collection. Keep us posted on your progress.

Now you've hit a subject near & dear to my wizened old heart: I LOVE standards. In "real life" capturing an enemy's standard was THE HEIGHT of ACHIEVEMENT, bringing ETERNAL GLORY to the victor & ULTIMATE DISGRACE to the defeated Foe. It's the heart, soul, & pride of the unit bearing it; AND on the gaming table, a splash of color that enlivens even the dullest of units.
Your Sylvan Standard is a LOVELY example of the genre. The choice of colors is WONDERFUL & the execution BRILLIANT. VERY WELL DONE It's a piece my Night Goblins would kill to get their grubby little hands on.

VERY COOL! The Spellsinger is dramatic; EXCELLENT color choices...you've got the Autumn colors down pat. The Standard Bearer is equally well done...PLUS I LOVE the Owl. GREAT STUFF!

Very nice high lighting as always Skavenblight. I've been harboring thoughts of building a Wood elf army, but now that I've seen yours, it seems somehow futile - I would compare my efforts with your achivements... The second standard bearer is great, but I liked the orange colour scheme better - it was perhaps a bit on the garish side, but it was so eyecatching and vibrant!

I think the orange-red-yellow colour scheme is better, I never liked painting green until I tried the first time... but my army will be orange-red-yellow as I planned. This standard bearer was painted for someone who wants to have ordinary green elves from the evergreen woods of Loren I will paint in the next 2-3 days a spellsinger for him, my favorite spellsinger with staff and then I will come back to my own army, I began in August a glade guard unit... it's time to finish it

It was a long time since I've painted something for my army But now I come back and I have finished 2nd glade guard unit. I also started with the wardancers and painted 5 from 13 models I have, but I don't have any pics yet. Hopefully I will be able to finish some playable army this summer Now I have too many ideas - a treeman, wood elf scenery or wild riders... I don't know what I should choose so I paint some metal models which don't need to be converted

What I had to... oh, the glade guard. There are 2 versions of the same unit on the pics: 1st with filler, and 2nd with the standard bearer and another filler.

















P.S. One of the elves looks from behind like it wouldn't fit to the unit - but it's not true, it all fits together, I only didn't notice this when I made these photos But I have to admit it was hard, that's why I like skirmish units more

BEAUTIFULLY WELL DONE as always! I can identify with the pains of ranking up units; that's the reason my Night Goblins are perching on mushrooms...mostly.

That's one of my favorite Reaper minis. You did a WONDERFUL bringing him to life. As always VERY WELL DONE!

I hate to post these words, so let's post them on the beginning : "I haven't been here for a long time, but now I'm back and I'll try not to disappear again in the next 6 months (but you can be sure I will and it will all repeat itself again)". This year was good for hobby, but sadly not good for me. But let's think positive, I have a few new warbands, Karak Zorn table and new units in my wood elf army

The War Dancers and Glade Riders are BEAUTIFULLY WELL DONE...I LOVE the way you did the horses.
The terrain piece is STUNNING...a perfect accent piece for your Sylvan Folk. I've been into the Spooky Woods stuff myself.
