| Lookin' good! I like the color choices, and poses, and the wood looks mighty fine. Wish I could get that kind of detail in my model's faces! Keep up the good work, and keep the pics coming | |

| Hey guys, thanks for the replies so far! I´m happy you like them so far, first I was quite a bit nervous to show them to such a competent and experienced jury like the users on this forum Well, but now as promised some.....well.....better? No, let´s say at least acceptable pics.... Anyone got a Tutorial for better Photography? First, some more shots of the older guy: Next, the rather younger fella: The 2 others together: And the back of the Rucksack guy: Puh, some of the pics are really horrible......and those were the best ones of at least 40 shots I made | |

| The new photos REALLY show the Crew off to advantage. The Hairing Impaired one looks even cooler. The metal work looks TERRIFIC, AND the candle on the one Guy's backpack is a nice touch. KEEP 'EM COMING! | |

| There is an exellent tutorial on how to improve your photo's in the tutorial section. I used it too and my photo quality went from god awful to pretty acceptable | |

| @ sartori + Mithras: Thanks for the advice, I´ll try to realize as much of the Tutorial as I can! And to get some practice, here´s the marksmen group I startet painting yesterday. As you can see, it´s very WIP. But, as there´ll be some Mordheim dudes coming around this evening, I´m optmistic that those guys will get more paint soon! I used Picasa to edit the pic a bit and it was really useful. | |

| Looking really good so far. The quickest tips I can give you for better photography are: 1) Better light, and lots of it. Daylight bulbs are great, hallogen are probably 2nd best. Professional mini photographers do multiple lights from many angles to try to reduce shadows. I usually go one from above and slightly in front, and one to the side. 2) A steady camera makes a good picture. Use a tripod, or lacking that, set your camera on a box or whatever you have around so there's no movement. This will let you get a closer shot without it blurring. 3) Use the macro setting (usually a flower icon) for close ups. 4) try different combinations of zoom + actual distance to the subject of your picture. I've used multiple cameras and some prefer that the zoom is all the way in while the camera is distant from the subject, while others prefer the camera very close and the zoom minimized. It's all about learning the ticks of your particular camera. | |

| Greetings! I managed to finish one of the Archers today. I wish I could be faster, but I think it´s still worth it to spend those hours on every single mini.......hey, it´s Mordheim, not Warhammer! (Just because I´ve allways been wondering about that point: How much time do you spend on one Miniature like this for example?) So here he is, Mr. 1/4: C&C please! | |

| Even for larger scale games like Warhammer it's worth taking as much time as you deem necessary...no sense rushing if you're going to be unhappy with the results. The new Lad turned out TERRIFIC... VERY much in keeping with the style of the rest of the War Band. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Agree - he looks great! That archer set is one of the best plastic sets GW has produced (although I still think the morheim mercs/Empire militia sprues are the best). | |

| Thanks again guys I agree about what you said about the Archer and Militia sprues......those are absolutely genius! I used those 2 and the Great Swords for my warband, but I think I´ll not show you my Heroes yet...... That would make any waiting for new painted minis less interesting, wouldn´t it | |

| *Ching-Ching* Two done! In an act of fevered madness, me and a friend painted almost the whole night....I think that´s what being a hobbyist is all about And here they are, enjoy.... It´s a shame that the Pictures of the feather-hat-guy´s face didn´t turn out so well. Must say, that he´s my personal favorite up to now. | |

| Hey guys! It´s been a while again since I posted the last Reikländers, but I´ve been busy.... So first of all, here´s the 4th Archer: With him, they´re finally completed and I can start with my heroes!! So, I proudly present the first of them, Pieter Hafenwacht, one of the Hauptmanns latest requisitions: My idea with that youngblood was to create a character who was recruited in perhaps a wealthy and (of course) boring city, where he was part of the night-watchmen crew. And if you look in his sleepy eyes, it might seem that he´s still primary doing the nightwatch duty in the warband So C&C please! @folketsfiende: For the faces, I don´t use any complex techniques, the most important thing is patience I think.... But those are the colours I use: Terracotta - as undercoat Tanned Flesh - slightly watered down (just put your brush into some water once, after having put the colour on it) Dwarf Flesh - watered down a bit more Elf Flesh - for the very highlights and watered down pretty much! (there should be just a very little rest of colour on the brush) Puh, I hope my very limited german English was good enough for that description, I don´t know much of the specific vocabulary in the painting-biz | |

I love that you have kept your colours crisp without losing the gritty feel that every Mordheim warband (in my opinion) should have.
Absolutely incredible! | |

| Thanks again guys! I really appreciate your comments about my warband, that alone makes it worth sharing the pics... But, concerning the comments, there´s not been much criticism yet. Ehm, don´t misunderstand me, it´s great to hear that people seem to like the results of my labor, but I´m also eager to hear some critical comments, as far as it´s constructive I started this warband project to increase my painting skills a bit, so every advice you have is so welcome! Ok, enough of that, another warband member leaves my table and joins the ranks of Reiklands finest: Der stumme Hans (Silent Hans) is the Hauptmanns most loyal and dependable subordinate, never questioning any orders and hardly ever speaking a word. That makes him a perfect bodyguard and the dreaded right hand of the Hauptmann, even in the ranks of his own men! Here he is: | |
