Vampires WIP

This is Alyssandra. Grabbed the model from Reaper miniatures and then I converted a dagger for her to use.



The first time I painted a vampire, I painted the skin green and worked up to white for the highlights. It worked nicely for the supernatural feel in my mind. I wasn't sure it was going to work this time, since she's supposed to be a sexy vampire as opposed to some disgusting creature of the night, but I think it worked.

Clearly, she's not finished. I'm done painting her skin (which is like 94% of the model ) but I still have a lot of work to do on her hair and the bikini robes.

VERY NICE...& SEXY! She's coming along BEAUTIFULLY...the eyes & lips are especially well done. Keep up the GOOD WORK!

nice job. the face is great that's one area i have had issues with can never get the eyes or lips right. Have you thought of doing an ink wash to the mini? it would add some slight shadowing to her skin.

See, I always try to avoid washes for vampires, because they're supposed to be pale and dead and chalky. Washes tend to make them look more human than I'd like.

Just a thinned down ink wash. I have done it with a watered down black ink wash and it shadowed good added a touch up of white here and there where it was a bit dark but it came out right for what I wanted. I also did a coat of varnish to make the skin shine.

Read up on the backtory of the Lahmian bloodline, you'll get why she's almost naked.

I do have several other vampires in various stages of completion which are not sexy in the slightest, if you want some pictures of those.

Look, I'm a bit of fluff guy, really. But c'mon no "lahmian bloodline backround" will help getting a way with unprovoked nudity. I just find it slightly too pubertal.

This is Clara von Morstein. Didn't post a picture of her first because she's finished, so there's no progress to display, and she's not good enough to post in the gallery.

The backstory is reflected in a character's appearance, since I can't start writing novels about them and handing them out to everyone I play against. Alyssandra happens to be one of Neferata's handmaidens and something of a dominatrix, hence the outfit. Clara, on the other hand, runs a local inn with her husband, and so her outfit is much more respectable. See?

I've been a bit busy lately, so I haven't made enough progress to post any pictures of yet, but I appreciate the complements thus far.

That one's just a regular GW model. Barely any conversion work on it. Hence why I didn't post it until I was forced to justify the bikini.

Dominatrix? they generally wear corsets and big boots. Clara looks like a dominatrix with the imposing stance, and long sharp nails. Alyssandra looks like an expensive prostitute. she looks like she like she is waiting to be dominated if anything which is fine for a vampire trying to lure in unsuspecting victims, but im not buying her as a dominatrix for a second, sorry

If you want an ugly vampire chick, I made this one before my lactose intolerance forced me to get rid of my Fantasy Vampire Count army. She was my Strigoi Ghoul Queen.

Touché! I definetly think that a more fitting vampire for Mordheim. I liked it a lot!

She's more subtle about it. That would be her outfit when she's going to pick out her slave for the night. This is what she wears when she's walking into a battle. Clara is more traditional, as in she wears some form of armor for a fight, and her fingernails grow longer. When she's waiting tables, she dresses surprisingly conservatively. Mainly because her husband has brutally murdered the drunks who thought she was THAT kind of barmaid.

That looks great. =) But I probably wouldn't make an ugly female model, because I'm not sure if you've ever seen a fantasy movie, but it seems to be a requirement for every chick in them to be unrealistically attractive.

Well, I never said the first one was for Mordheim. I have absolutely no idea how to justify Alyssandra traveling so far and getting her robes (kind of) dirty for a few glowing rocks.

I changed the name of this topic since you guys seem to like my other vampires better...

So here's the other not-even-close-to-finished vampires.



Alexander von Morstein (Clara's husband) is on the left, and Deimos, the reclusive old man who lives in a cave and yells "Gitoff mah lawn!" before he kills people is on the right.

I still need to green stuff some chainmail for Alexander's other arm, and then make his cape which he's supposed to be swishing around. Deimos, obviously, needs a lot of work around his waist...

They look quite neet, Von Morsteins arms, looks a bit short however (maybe it is the angle of the photo?)

Yeah, one arm is mostly behind him, the other is thrust forward.
