a crazy idea ...THE BIG MEETUP

weekend 12th-13th of Juli will be good for me ...or later...

(well actually at the moments the ONLY thing I have planned for a set date is my grandmothers birthday on the 5th of July ...so that weekend is offlimits to me )

By "show of hands":

WHO can make it for the 12th of July 2008?

If there are no objections, I suggest we fix that date.

@ Cianty: There is no "limit" really. But I think 4 vs. 4 players is the maximum comfortable setup. I don't mind if we are more, it will just get a little crowded arount the board

I am leaving for the UK right now (I am at the airport actually) so I won't be able to go to the different accomodations personnally, however I asked my mum (who is still in Vienna) to do me the favour of asking at a few locations. Mainly B&Bs and Student Accomodations.
I will get back to you with suggestions. Please feel free to browse the web to find alternatives! I cannot guarantee that I will come up with something that will suit you!

As far as advertisement on the "Mordheim Forum" is concerned, well... I don't know really. I don't "object" to it, but I don't think that people will get interested if they are not members of THIS forum If you want to post about our "Tom's Boring Mordheim Meeting" of course you can, but think about the target "audience". Anyway, it can't hurt to let other people know about this.

I asked Axel, and he wants to come to if possible! I will share a room with him, and as always we dont have a ton off money so could you look for something like a youth Hostel ? and we have got vacation from 30 june till 15 august. He is possible away the first week of our vacation..

@date: Hm, that is exactly when my semester ends. That means I will have to pass an exam sometime after that.. should work for me.

@fee: MICROCONSTRUCT doesn't charge us for hanging around there? That's pretty cool of them. But, of course, if they have even half the stuff available that they have listed on their online store then I will definately buy a lot when I am there.

Sorry, it just turned out that the 12th will be the last day that I will be free! I will have to leave on the 13th in the morning (driving to Germany) because I will work there from the 15th on and I need to be there on the 13th in the evening.

So we will have to make it 11th - 12th of July! (that means you will want to arrive in Vienna on the 11th at the latest!)

SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE! I just got the email from my employer stating that!

I hope this will not have an important impact on our project. After all it's just one day earlier...

Just to clarify:

1) @ Boehm: Yes, the way I understand it, the MICROCONSTRUCT team is very flexible and we can play there for 2 days (no, we can't curl up under the gaming tables in our sleeping bags and stay for the night )

also @ Boehm: No problem for the beer! I know a nice place where they also have amazing food (45cm long breads with loads on stuff on them )

2) @ Cianty: I hope that does NOT change the whole situation! :S I know that we will just have one gaming board but even if we are a little crowded I think it will still be fun.
MICROCONSTRUCT is a very small shop, please don't expect anything the size of the GW in Düsseldorf, but the owners are very friendly people.

3) As I understood it, the following people need help with accomodation:
- Cianty + girlfriend
- Boehm
- Matt
I will try and find some accomodations for you. But once more, please do also look around for yourselves on the internet!

4) Please confirm/complete the following list of people who are very likely to be coming (July 11th or 12th please! ).
