Latest Campaign

The latest campaign has started. We currently have 6 players on an 8 person map. One was unable to make the first meet. I have included the fiirst Town Cryer.

I think this is the best Battle report ever! A great idea. Town Cryer has always been my favorite and now doing short ad like write ups... effing great!

Thanks for all the positive replies. We are going to be doing this for ten weeks total, and I hope to get the guys to finally name their warbands. If they don't they will get a silly name every week until they do. I will shame them to no end. If interested to know. I am using the Campaign Rules I made up and are available on The Mordheimer. I cleaned them up a little after 7 yrs. I will post more as the weeks pass. If curious about the other warbands listed but not pointed. I am using NPC warbands if the players move into an open territory. The NPC warbands are played by their opponent who in turn will take his warband against another NPC warband if necessary. May sound complicated, but until they meet another player, it keeps things from getting boring. Also, I am using a 'Fog of War' aspect by having the players email me their next move. This is why there are no locations listed, and keeps the players guessing where everyone els is at as well. It may sound complicated, but I have a hold of it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Captain Down!

Loving the Town Cryer pages! Very impressive.

Thanks to all agai for the positive responses. We lost one player due to not being able to make it, but we hope to have a new one show up in the next meeting or two. It takes some effort to get the guys to come up with a warband name. So, I would shame them into giving me a name.

We meet on Tuesdays and had four games last night, Beastmen vs Night Goblins, Lizardmen vs Possessed, Undead vs Witch Hunters and Kislev, Norse vs Skaven.

I personally have 8 NPC warbands, so if the players move into an uncontested section they will still play a random NPC warband played by one of the other opponents. This gives players the chance to take down their fellow player, get experience for their band against another (usually) weaker warband, and give them a chance to try out a new warband.
