GWhas a shiny new metal mini of the perennial favorite Azhag mini:
http://wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?t=7389GW
I will refrain from any editorial comments about the EXORBINENT price 0R GW's REGRETABLE habit of dropping & adding special characters with each new army book [aren't you glad I refrained? Suspect ].

As always GW have created a superb mini, yes it will be over priced and yes it will probably be dropped when they write the next set of rules which will probably be sooner rather than later, so we'll have to buy new army books too. It is somewhat sad that they tend to spend so much effort chasing the "cash cow", but let's not forget what they have given to the hobby, O.K so they have a habbit of failing to support some of their lesser used games in favour of the big money makers, but it is a business after all and must therefore make money(not sure if these comments are too subtle for your liking Deafnala). But you have to admit it is one gorgeous mini, thanks for bringing it to our attention

I got an email about that. It looks pretty sweet! If I didn't already have like 3 or 4 unpainted dragons laying around I'd consider picking it up. Wink

@conan:actually I think this is the best of the Azhags, all of which were damn cool minis.I like quite a lot of GW's creations as evidenced by the number I have lurking about the dusty corridors of the Vault of Pack Rattiness. AND I don't REALLY object too strenuously to their prices...if nothing else they set an acceptable price for smaller companies to charge, thereby allowing those smaller mini makers to survive. thumbsup

What I DO object to about GW is their deplorable lack of business ethics...rather similar to those of Jesse James without the guns. As a long time mini addict I take it as my responsibility to comfort the afflicted & afflict the comfortable...NO ONE is quite as "comfortable [arrogantly smug]" as GW*. Suspect

BTW with imminent senility looming large, all subtleties are lost on moi. Wink

*ADDENDUM: in fairness WotC is worse than GW to the point of making GW look like a charitable organization. Suspect

I'm with you on all of the above Deafnala, i personally think GW has lost sight of the hobby a little bit, they have become so big that they have forgotten their hobby roots, but then again i might be small minded and only seeing things from my perspective and as i tend to drool like a child in a candy store and start spending like an idiot( by the way the minis you linked from fictiveminiatures are bloody lovely i've almost finnished my first one) so i feel sorry for all the people out there who struggle to pay for GW minis
