2010 Games Day Model

Got the GW newsletter the other day and it had a pic of the Games Day 2010 miniature.



Should make players of Marauder warbands or WFB Chaos very happy.

That's a great model. I can see it making quite a nice warlock hired sword, if you're more inclined to commit evil deeds.

Holy...!! They made a Condemned/Seer/Shaman miniature! It's great! I love the style.

Paint job is pretty bad and ruins the model.

EDIT: took out teh swears. too used to censors I guess.

I was a bit surprised by the paint job as well. Still it is far from "shit", even if beyond below the usual Eavy Metal standard. No need for such a language here.

I rather like this model alot, has a nice old school fantesy feel about it and the pose+glove reminds me of the sorcerer from Heroquest

PRETTY COOL...if you're into Chaos. Old GW comes up with some REALLY nice minis for Games Day(s); the one with the Chaos Lad doing a number on the Wood Elf & the Chaos Sorcerer with the extra hand were VERY COOL minis.

I can't fault the paint job. If one of us TBMFers posted it here, it would have gotten some rather nice commentary.

While I agree that parts of the paint-job are sub-par, the skin is flippin' awsome! I think think its a cool model too. Better for us than another Marine at least!

I don't buy metal models anymore though, so I won't be getting it....

am I the only one that thinks he has funny sized fingers+thumb on his un-gloved hand ?
as for the paint job ; I can't see anything wrong ? Unless you guys don't like the sharp highlights on the black ?
as for the figure itself ; mmmmm .... not bad, but not super I think. (first time I saw it, I was wondering whether this was a plastic or a metal one)
(and that sure was not a good sign ...)

You aren't alone. I thought the fingers were a bit on the stubby side also...maybe they get longer when the eye blinks.

Anyone with a freakin eyeball in their hand would not have normal looking fingers.

do the fingers lookf short because they are bending backwards? I can't realy tell from this angle.

I like it a lot. I'm liking the wind-blow fabric that they are doing a lot of these days (Corpse cart, loads of the skaven characters and engines, etc.)
