| A few of you here may know me from Flame On's antics with the Sartosa campaign, and I thought it was about time I showed my head round these parts. After a fairly successful and extremely lucky start to my Mordheim carrer with One Eye'd Willy & The Gentlemen of The Inferno managing a 3rd place finish, I thought I'd hang up my pirate cutlass and try something a little erm... colourful. Yup that's right I'm going for a circus warband, here's my efforts so far. Prototype impressionable youths new impressionable youths Tough Doggies for my animal trainer Pickpockets/Ranged attack Acrobats Circus band henchmen group Knife thrower marksman Strongmen Magician and finally the first of my clowns May I present Chucky Norris ( he passes an uncanny resemblance) | |

| Ahahaha! Looks good.
Nice use of the Lord of the Rings hobbits - they make perfect children for Warhammer scale! I like the "magician" conversion from Paladin Took a lot too.

Hmm technoviking Ilike this phrase a lot! The dumbbells he's carrying will of course have the weight painted onto it, I'm just debating how heavy it should be?

| I was thinking of something along the lines of pyramid weights but got a bit lazy, if I've got time I might go back to it before painting.
Don't worry the ringmaster is on his way as is one of the cicus freaks and animal trainer!

| Wow my tough is exactly like Technoviking even down to the pants!!! The prototype youths are just from gnoblar bodies with empire heads. I thought gnpoblars wouldbe good as they have slings, knives and broken bottles which seemed very appropiate. However the human heads make them look a little, lets say... odd. The other youths and magician are just hobbits from the LotR range with bent arms into new positions etc Here's another update anyway, hope you like. Any suggestions would be most welcome. The Animal Trainer, I was trying to find a chair for him to use as a weapon like lion tamers do but had no success, so a sword will have to do instead. The Freak, with the cloven hooves mutation. I think this will be the most useful mutation but if you can suggest any better they're from the Possessed warband's mutation chart. and finally my Ring Master! The green stuff needs some refinement but I've had very little practice with gs other than for filling gaps. Enjoy | |

| You've REALLY captured the Circus feel...I keep hearing Circus music playing somewhere is the dusty corners of my mind EVERY TIME I look at the crew. The Ring Master DOES have a certain sinister aspect to him. COOL STUFF! I have a couple of chairs that I could donate to the cause. | |

| Woot! Your ringmaster is awesome! Could i ask you how you have assembled his top hat? Is a tube of common paper the white thing on his head? | |

| Love your models, great conversions! Concerning the mutant, though, how about doing him/it/them as those classic Feakshow characters? Y'know, the bearded lady, or John Merrick (the elephant man), the monkey boy, giant man, or a siamese twin (cool!!!)? |

| Thanks for the great comments guys.
The hat is just a bit of plastic tube with some very amateurish greenstuff work. Paper or card would be harder to work with as it might crumple, but that could be of benefit producing a fab crumply top hat which would look cool if it worked.
Thanks for the offer of furniture but It might be bit pricey sending chairs over the pond, but I would be interested to know where you got them from? are they in scale?
Classic circus freaks are a fantastic idea ooh the possibilities! Siamese twins would be cook and fairly easy to do! Any suggestions which ideas would fit the mutations from the possessed warband list?

| Your ringmaster is excellent!! Well done. When smoothening out greenstuff, use a bit of water, when working with it. | |

| Dazza, the best things for green stuffing are dental tools. I'll have a word with Lousie on your behalf... | |

| Thanks for the offer Phil, I've actually already have a set of dental tools from my adventures with milliput and chaos marines when I was a kid. I just need a lot more practice with putty to get the best from it | |

| Well, a Siamese Twin could have "Demon soul", as they clearly must be the work of demons! Also, it depends on the Siamese Twin complexion.
Are they connected at head, the waist? Are they four legged, four armed? In that case, you can give him/them clove hoofs (but as Four Legged instead), Extra Arm (if they only share body beneath the waist) and of course Hideous (now, I must press that I do NOT think and of this of REAL siamese twins!)
Now, using the CoC mutations, it gets much harder... Bloated Foulness works for an Elephant Man, as one such is covered in large boils and other, well, bloated foulness, so that one is certainly a go. Hideous should be given tpo all of them, as they are "Freak Show" artists after all...
You can have up to two of those, so I'd definetly go with an Elephant Man, but to make the other one fluffy is going to be hard if you are going to use the theme... |

I have some old Grenadier, which would be about 28mm. Most of them are Mega Minis which are 25mm; You can check them out at the War Store: http://www.thewarstore.com/MegaMiniaturesPartI.html .
