| It was suggested over on Warseer that I make a login system where you can save and display warbands for other people. Is that something anyone here would be interested in? The basic idea would be that you create a user account, and then you can save your warband information to that account. There would also be a way to show off your warbands and possibly a directory of warbands.
I'm thinking of possibly trying to tie this into my other tabletop website idea.

| Okay, I've come up with a plan for how to handle the existing warbands thing. I need some input though. Here is the basic idea. First of all, you enter a free edit mode where you can add/remove warriors, equipment, skills, set your gold, etc without being restricted by cost or anything. It will still prevent you from adding invalid skills or something though. You can just use it like this to freely edit as you wish. However, you can also hit a button to "lock" what you have in place. This would ideally be what you have written on your roster sheet. Once it's locked in place, it will restrict you to valid changes (ie making sure you have enough gold, available veteran experience, etc). The following are things to be added for existing warbands:
- Adding injuries. You would just be able to freely add these, there would be no restrictions.
- Experience/Advances. While in free edit mode you would just set the experience. In "locked" mode you would click on the new experience to set it, and it would allow you to assign just enough stats/skill points as advances earned since you locked it. You would freely pick stats or skills from the list though, with the expectation that you would have rolled that on your own.
- Selling Wyrdstone. In free mode you can just set your gold and wyrdstone. In locked mode you can choose to sell wyrdstone one time and it will auto-calculate the new gold.
- Hiring new warriors/hired swords. In free mode you can add/remove warriors as you wish (as long as it's valid for the warband, so you wouldn't be able to add 3 leaders), but it doesn't calculate the costs. In locked mode it will make sure that not only are you not exceeding the max amount of warriors but you have enough gold to hire them (and auto-update the gold). Hired swords would work the same way. Dramatis Personae would probably work the same way, with the expectation that you have already done the search rolls.
- Adding Equipment. In free mode you can add/remove equipment all you want, but it will not update your gold. In locked mode it will work just as a starting warband, making sure you have enough gold before adding. I'm not sure how to do rare items though. You would be expected to make the roll on your own to make sure it's available, and I'm thinking of popping up a box for you to enter the additional gold value from your rolls.
Any thoughts? Basic flow would be to enter free mode, set up the website to look like what you have written down, then lock that into place. Once it's locked you can play around with your options for updating your warband, making sure things are (mostly) valid.

| So, couple of new updates. First of all, I added Ostlanders. Ostlander: http://www.tabletopgeeks.com/mordheim-roster-builder/?warband=ostlanderI also added the free edit mode. Right under Gold Crowns is now a button to enable/disable free edit. When in free edit mode it will NOT calculate your gold, so you can freely add/remove warriors/equipment. This is the first step towards making this work for existing warbands.

| Very nice work!
Saw that the warrior priest in witch hunters has st 4 instead of 3.
And you can't add equipment to the heroes there. But maybe you havent finished them yet. And yes I have been lazy and havent read all there is written.

| So, I added some alerts to let you know why you can't do certain things. No longer do you have to wonder "Why didn't it let me select that Hero?" Now it will tell you whether you've reached the limit for that type of warrior, the maximum for the warband, or just run out of gold crowns. | |

| I need some feedback. At the bottom of the roster builder now is a button labeled "Printable". It pops up a new window with the background being a roster image. Right now it just overlays the name and type of the first hero. It will take some time to do the entire thing.
What do you guys think? This should make it easily printable so you can do what you want with it. Should I go ahead and fill out the whole thing?

| Having it print out on the classic roster sheet would be a good idea, as it is now everyone would just be transcribing from your site to their physical roster sheets anyways. In addition users can easily record changes to their warband until they feel like updating their warband on your site and print out a new roster. | |

Did you check out the printable button at the bottom? It uses a slightly modified (more efficient and better looking) roster sheet image, with your warband information laid on top of it.

Thats where I click to get it! Great! I gotta say, sometimes I just sit there and make warbands for the fun of it You are an innovator and a rolemodel for all Mordheimers out there. |

Yep I clicked the button before I wrote that, I was confirming that I liked what your print button did and then added why. In retrospect I kinda worded it funny. In other words keep up the good work

| Fixed a few bugs. Anyone with "1+1" Attacks (Lizardmen mainly) had the "+1" bleeding over in to the Leadership box. This should no longer happen. I fixed a bug that made it so Firefox would only print the first page. It should now properly print both pages and no blank pages. AND I sharpened up the background roster image since it was a little fuzzy before. | |

| In the print window the Warband Name, Warband Type, and Warband Rating fields are displayed as horizontal instead of vertical in the hero's section of the Roster Sheet and are not displayed at all in the henchmen's section. I'm using Firefox version 3.0.15, checked with Orcs and Goblins, Averlander Merceneries, and Undead, but probably occurs with all warbands. | |

Update Firefox. I had this problem with my work computer today. The latest version is 3.5.6 and it works fine with that. Unfortunately the rotation of text is not supported in older versions.
