| Inspired by boreal_NL and various other members of this fine forum, i've decided to make my own table.. again. This time not as a surface with movable buildings on top of it, but a city in various levels for maximum gaming enjoyment (sp?). I took the first step and designet the city in Google SketchUp, a program which I by the way strongly recomments for sketching stuff, it's free and easier than ProE.. Anyways, i've made some sketches of how i want my table to look: Comments on what i could add, etc are very welcome! I begun building the main levels; The level with the two small staircases is almost done. Pictures will come up soon! thanks! | |

| VERY COOL & PROMISING! I REALLY like the waterways, sewer grates, & the multilevels...not necessarily in that order. I will be interesting to see how your blueprint translates into the ACTUAL model. Keep posting your progress, Amigo! | |

| great stuff!
the only thing i noticed that wasnt top notch is the arches in the sewers. google some to see how they are constructed.
this will turn out to be a really cool gaming table. keep up the great work! | |

| WOW that was quick. EVERYTHING looks TERRIFIC, AND even BETTER than I would have imagined...since I have a VIVID imagination, take that as a REAL compliment. You've DEFINITELY captured the character of dear old Mordheim. From the broken walls to the crumbling sewer grates, a FINE WORK OF WONDER in progress. This IS going to be something SPECIAL...keep plugging, Amigo! | |

| Thanks a lot guys! Lovely comments and critics I AM going to make a non-stationary (read movable) bridge, but im not sure if it is going to be a wooden bridge or one of stone. Maybe both? The walk way on such a bridge could be wood, and the small pillars holding it together where you enter it, could be made of bricks like the sewer walls? I like working with wood and when breaking it by hand you really achieve a natural 'broken' look. The house has also been further built on. It is almost done, i just need a roof and some crates lying around Thanks again all you happy people! | |

| Thanks y'all! In the meantime i've built 2 more buildings. One smaller house with a complicated roof and a drawer inside ...and a mansion with garden gates and a nice big door (open of course). Books are strewn across the 1.st floor making it look messy and moody Pics up soon | |

| wow ! great pictures of great buildings ! I really like the idea of railings/balconies on the outside of buildings (just wasn't as good as you at building them ...) Are the larger pieces of wood (eg the roof supports and side beams) balsa wood, or is this another kind of wood ? keep the pics coming ! ps) I've got some foamcard and balsa left from my first try at a couple of buildings and I've been thinking about a chapel, church or wizard's tower for some time now. I really need to make drawings before I can start anything, but I just didn't find inspiration that suited me. I don't know exactly what I want, but I didn't find anything yet that I like enough. So if anyone has sketches or pics lying around ... | |

| Just to let you know that i intend on posting some more pictures in the following days!
A LOT has been made for and on the table, so... yeah!
Updates are as follows:
1 house 2 mansions 1 wizard's tower (dice tower also) all polysterene has been bought and added to the empty spaces of the board itself.
I now need to make some more bricks along the sewers!
I have also started a possessed warband, so expect pics of those too!
Stay tuned fellas! | |
