| WOW !!! this Derek guy knows how to paint ! Darn ! those tattoos are something else than what I've tried on a slayer !!! the slight red on the nose of the second might indicate a little drinking problem ? Nala, I've got the same problem ; I want my mini's to game with (although I play rather seldom), so mostly I stick to more or less standard bases. Which are much too small to do much with, compared to bases you can have without space limitations. (not that I'm very good at that, but I would like to ...) Lanyssa, you sure got a nice collection ! | |

For a larger, more heavily sceniced bases, I make a movement/display base with cut outs that accommodate the little bases. Now I've started making Morheim style ruins & similar pieces as display settings for the minis. They seem to be fairly popular with the Guys & Gals I paint for... AH the $s keep seeping SLOWLY in.

| The bard is a Masterpiece !!! So GREAT ! A nice collection, well, I'm trying to finish with GW Mordheim' minis, but it's quite too expensive, and my wife is watching, what can I do if I take into account that I will stay with her all my life ? | |

| LOL !!!!!! Lanyssa, I know perfectly well what you mean !! I started buying mini's when we were just married ; next year we'll be married for 20 years ! Oh man ! How I know what you mean ! as to trying to finish GW mordheim mini's ; you mean painting them ? Or buying all available warbands ? (as you seem to have already lots of them) I have the plastic Empire ones mostly finished, Sisters of S (a long while ago), had to take a break from my witchunters (see my other threads), and bought the possessed box. I hope to have the hunters ready by the end of the year, and hopefully can start on the possessed next year... i'm not much into plastics, but been drooling over the daemonettes. My son would like to play beastmen. I have old metal ones, but maybe I'll need the plastic ones as well ... But I just bought for about 50 € on ebay on Rackham mini's when I discovered Ludikbazar ; there I had 140 €. And I'm unemployed .... so my wife thinks that it's about time I keep my promise "No honey, I won't be buying any more figs.... Yes, I know dear, I have more than I'll ever be able to paint, let alone play with .... Yes Love, I know I'm fooling myself when I say 'maybe the kids will love them as well ...' Nala, I would LOVE TO SEE those scenic bases !!! so even if you only can take crappy pics (what I can, you most certainly can also ! it's just some trail & error, mostly with the light. Direct light is no good at all !) please share them ! (you know the only ideas I have are the ones I can steal, so ... !) now i'm off to work some more on the Chevaliers de Hod take care guys & have a swell weekend I love the fact that i have discovered this forum and all of you fellow painters !!! | |

(as you seem to have already lots of them) I'm trying to buy all the Mordheim minis for all the warbands, except Witch Hunters (even if I have most of them), Possessed and Skavens, which are the property of my bro So, I miss 2 Ostlanders minis, 3 Averlanders, zombies and ghouls, some kislevites (too expensive for me, I have some but I see a blister of 3 is going to end at more than 60€ !!! I bought mine 25€ ,and I was a fool...), some carnival of chaos (one brute, one plague bearer and the nurglings), new sisters of Sigmar (NEVER seen them on Ebay ), the troll slayer pit fighter, some beastmen raiders, the witch, the kislev ranger, the treasure hunter, the stage coach, the merchant, the angry mob, the hunter and Marianna (DP). I miss some other stuff like the "dead" minis and scenery, quite rare... Ohhh... I have a lot to buy !!! Like you ! But I have a work, and my wife too, with no child, so why can't I buy minis, uh ? I'm in love with the new Freebooter mini, how detailled is she !!! Look at her shoes !

| VERY PRETTY WENCH, LR! Freebooter has some of the LOVELIEST of female minis available. AND you, my friend, have an eye for the Ladies. @pascal: I sent you a PM with an offer you won't remember...or something like that. As long as I'm at it, here's a BAD Babe from Reaper...not EXACTLY a succubus, but close: painted by Marike Reimer | |

| Some Holy Babes: These Battle Nuns were originally from Reaper's Dark Heaven Legends range & are now listed with the Crusaders in the Warlord range. They paint up MUCH better than the photo would suggest. The minis are by Werner K. This Nun was designed for the Crusaders: painted by Anne FoersterAND a Crusader Chick: There ARE definite alternative Sisiters of Sigmar & Witch Hunter possibilities within the range...take THAT GW. | |

painted by Marike Reimer she seems succulent enough to me ! Why isn't this a succubus ? Been browsing the web for that Asmodée one from Lanyssa, but didn't find it, except in a box. (maybe best, since I can't buy anything anymore.) I want to look into that Crusader thing also (don't know it), since a second Sisters warband seems attractive. (mine was painted a couple of years ago) Is that a company ? Range ? Game ? Got a link ? ps) I answered your pm from a different pc, but can't find the message in my sent items. Did I again befall the coming misty swirls of senilism ?! I seem to lose half of my messages and posts ...

Did I again befall the coming misty swirls of senilism ?! I seem to lose half of my messages and posts ... SENILITY CAN BE FUN...it drives the folks around you CRAZY! Actually, with all the virus thingys floating around the Internet, you might have caught it from moi...whoever I am . OH...I didn't get the PM. I've found YET MORE Succubi by Reaper; here's one:
| 03225: Eilluvasheth, Succubus Queen ($9.99) Patrick Keith
| AND another:
| 03341: Alura, Succubus Temptress ($6.99) Bob Ridolfi
|
Considering the photos are taken "professionally" as a means of selling their minis, quite a lot of Reapers photos DO NOT do the minis justice. Since I stumbled on the last few minis while browsing my way through the War Store, I got to compare prices. The War Store offers thes two Girls at $7.99 & $5.69 restectively...not too bad a savings there.

| There's something about the legs on the Rackham Succubi that I find less than alluring...maybe a tad too long. Here's a Faery Babe that I would put in the OH BABY! classification:
| 14469: Fairy ($5.49) Bobby Jackson
|
They have her & a friend or two available in a 9 mini pack also & a FANCIER leader type sold as a single. Having the basic types available as singles is a plus with moi.

| There ARE times that being an impoverished CRAZY OLD Man has its slight drawbacks. Like when veiwing ALL those minis I ABSOLUTELY MUST paint. Here's YET ANOTHER mini that falls into that catagory: painted by John Bonnot
| 03329: Hannah Blackruby, Female Wizard ($4.99) Werner Klocke
|
I LOVE the off the shoulders style gown.
