| I'm wanting to continue my theme of an all female pirate warband, as it stands now I have all of the female pirates from black scorpion(minus the Nuria Del fuego miniature as I'm not fond of it). I'm mainly looking for any good resources as to where to find decent looking(as in not topless or frumpy looking) female pirate models.
also if anyone knows of any sites stateside where I could get a 28mm miniature swivel gun for the ladies that would be appreciated as well.

| I share your desire for non topless females. There is this great thread on here full of female minis. In there there are a lot of pirates. Reaper has some great females and many can work as pirates (and some are pirates) that are almost perfect to the 28mm scale... compared to GW's minis. I use Reaper frequently for minis to fit in with my warbands. | |

| Dark Sword Miniatures has these awesome miniatures: Tale of War's Ron and Bones line has some, though they are now OOP (I think), but you can still get them in some online stores. | |

| I use the one from the GW fortified manor/watchtower, perhaps you can find a bits store that sells it. | |

Making the swivel guns is a snap. You just need a couple different width of Evergreen Tube & a push pin. You can see a couple of my swivel guns here: - Spoiler:

Although I always encourage converting instead of buying ready bits, I think you could use this: [img] [/img] These are cannons for ship modellers, avaialble in different scales and not quite expensive IMO (about 2,5$). http://www.ebay.com/itm/CANNON-SAILING-SHIPS-HISTORICAL-BARREL-HB2601-ACCURA-/320947459715?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item4ab9f59683check this out. It's 26 mm long so would be perfect. hope that helps The only "female" pirate mini that comes to my mind and was not mentioned before is Skarre.

| ok one final question and I should be done
does anyone know of any female pirate-ish miniatures that would look good holding said swivel gun? I have no problem with pegging it on a tripod and putting it on a base or building a "sling" out of greenstuff so one of the ladies could wear it hung on her back but was wondering if anyone knew of any good female mini's that had a "I'm going to shoot you in the face with a swivel gun" look to them?

| That's where conversions are needed. You've watched "marvelous misadventures of flapjack"? Find episode with a "man with a little girl's voice" - perfect swivel gunner Why are you making female exclusive warband? | |

| I fell in love with the Black Scorpion pirate girls and thus decided to do an all female pirate band
had I gone with a mix of men and women I would have picked up a sloot gunner from Ron and Bones as he would be a perfect "swivel gunner"
