| I'm not going to try to fool anyone, this battle report is just a guise to show off progress on my gaming table It was a misty morning in Mordheim, but soon the sounds of battle would wake the city with cheers of victory and howls of defeat. Our ratings were both 135, and the scenario we chose was The Raven Barracks, note the table did not feature the barracks. My opponent's Skaven set up in two groups with giant rats as cover. They proceeded to grab 4 of the 7 crates and make it off the board before routing. My Reiklanders set op in 3 groups, two on the ground split up to grab crates: ...and the third group used my leader's Hunch skill to grab a great firebase: Once the game got underway, we forgot to take anymore pictures. I managed to get one off the table to his 4. The last crate was left as the Skaven bottled. (we have a house rule that the city is so dangerous that treasure left on the table is not claimed by the winner). The post game saw my already crippled leader loose leg, and my newly promoted marksmen die. The Skaven made off well, and even though they lost, the rats racked up in post game with their 4 crates. After the battle the mists swirled back around the rubble strewn streets and several more crates mysteriously appeared under the foggy veil to lure more adventurers to their doom... | |

| Very cool! Are those crates something packaged with Mordheim, or are those something you found or made? | |

| To answer some questions: The crates are card stock terrain, quick and easy. Worldworks games is the premier maker of these things, but anything other than furniture is not really stable enough for wargaming, mostly just RPG suff. A company called Stones Edge merged with WWG, and they have a free sample available, one you can see in the pictures. http://www.stones-edges.com/freesamplesWhen printed it is 1" square, huge for objectives so i recommend reducing the size to 60%... maybe. The tall building is also card stock, glued to foam board for support. It as far from complete, the inside is nonexistent. It is from the warhammer building available on Svenn's site. Fig: Black orcs with 'eavy armor and shields are as slow as dwarfs! Next time prepare to get lit up with crossbows, although i should buy some handguns... I would have liked it if you could have stopped the rats from sneakin' off with too many crates! No interesting random happenings that game (our house rule is up to 1 event per player, so keep rolling until 2 happen in a 2 player game) | |

| It must have been a good game if you forgot to take photos ! the board looks very nice with a good amount of little fiddly bits like the crates as well as the nice big buildings. those crates are very nice. if you resize them you can get about 4 on, 5 tops. | |

| The skaven player actually texted me today to tell me all about wounding Dubstyle's leader. It was amusing. | |

| my poor Winlind is sooo gimped! WS 3, move 3, Tough 2! At least he's BS 5..
I have removed his helmet and dueling pistol, he is now so angered at his condition that he heedlessly seeks death. When he dies my Priest of Mor will take command, that's pretty awesome if you ask me! | |
