| Wimper, great table.
I'm loving the change of pace from alot of perfectly flat tables and how you've catered the buildings to the table. As a fellow Reiklander player i'm with you on the vertical fun. can't have them enemies running across gangways to us.
Are you going to do really long walkways between the buildings to have a sky level fight area going on? _________________

| looks fantastic. Must be honest, despite it's obvious grandeur I wasn't wholly convinced until you started adding the brilliant little details. Now with the painting as well you're going to end up with such an impressive looking board.
Kudos | |

I must agree with you there... Adding all the detail really makes this place come alive... Besides, it's a lot of fun to do. - Quote :

Yes, and a little envyous... A little more paint, a somewhat better picture... Not yet done, but making good progress... Target for today: finish it!!!

| HELP NEEDED!!!This afternoon I've started furnishing my building. You kow, put in a few boxes, maybe a cupboard or two... I've also painted up a bed and I want your opinion... Does the bed get to stay or not? Both cupboards are already fixed to the house, the bed is still movable (or 'losable' if you hate it...) - Quote :

| If you could mess up the bed a bit. It just looks too perfect to be sitting there when there's a hole in the side of the house. You could always just add debris on top of it, or in the corners to make it look more aged and worn too. | |

| Indeed, The house is awesome, but the nicely made up bed and the untouched pottery on the cupbourds is in stark contrast with one side of the house totally gone... : p Get a hammer, smach the furniture a few times, spray some PVA around, followed by small debris and it'll look like the remains of the inside of a house after hit by comet parts etc. Just my opinion. If it would be a bit less "clean", your house, it would be Superb! | |

| I think the bed is a nice detail as well as the cupboards, but as said before, mess it up a bit. The bedsheet can be a bit burned maybe | |

| COOL! I like the "still in residence" look...if you're tough enough to survive a ground zero comet encounter, you're bloody minded enough to stay in town. The woodwork looks FANTASTIC. GREAT PROGRESS! | |

| I think if you add a dead body, a bloodied body part, or some blood splatters on the bed or walls it would be fine, otherwise I agree with the above comments. It looks too clean. I wish my buildings looked a tenth as good as yours. Everything else looks great. BTW where did you get the bed and cupboard? | |

| I like DeafNala's suggestion that the bed is someone still living there rather than it miraculously surviving half the house falling down.
I'd be tempted to mute the colours of it if I were you though, everything it bound to be filthy and scuffed post impact.
Really coming along. | |

| I would put the bed in the far left corner to make more space for figures, and darken the colours a bit. Other then that it looks amazing | |

| The furniture reminds me of the scene in Saving Private Ryan where the guy tries to help the little girl and gets snipped The family was huddled in the second floor of their 1/2 destroyed house. | |

YES!!! That's the look I'm going for... Thank you! The bed has still to be put into the house, I will wash the blanket with some Devlan Mud to give it some weathering. - Quote :

I get mine from Fenryll and Thomarillion (the guys at Thomarillion are really great)... Nice stuff! And also, finished building on the board...

| Looks great!
You should put some washes on the white to make it much more durty. This is a bit to clean for mordheim. som browns and then finish with a tiny amount of black.
And wheres all the rubble!?

And wheres all the rubble!? If you want to create burn marks etc. just use a Cork and burn the tip... then use it on the walls. You can't get the same effect with paint

| Very nice. Although I do also suggest a bit of dirtying up on the white walls. Also, I think you could drybrush the wood a bit so the highlights are brighter. Keep up the good work! | |

| in my opinion it should look nice if you did some weathering on the buildings, but the way you have build them is... simply (eeexcellent) | |

| You gotta love your Simpsons! Thanks for all the great ideas on rubble and some weathering... The weathering is a sure thing, but I haven't figured out if I want to do the rubble, too... Rubble limits space for miniatures, and I made my buildings (and board) with gaming first in mind. Anyway, I haven't gotten to it yet, but as soon as I do, you can expect some pics... What I did do are these simple barricades... Put together, undercoated and painted in a single afternoon! A lot of plaster boxes, crates, barrels, a few buckets and some plastic wheels... In total I made 14 barricades!!! Furthermore I removed the cupboards from the building and replaced them with some more crates and barrels... | |

| Cool amount of barricades, i feel thats is usually something missing from a Mordheim board so when you get out into the streets you are a sitting duck.
You scenery looks great (far better than I could do). I do agree with making it more grimey and dirty. With regards to rubble I understand what you are saying but you can still have some rubble and not comprimise on space for models. I have used cat litter in the past (not the stuff that breaks up when water added). I then coat it with watered down PVA (quite thin). This dries to make it solid but doesnt ruin the texture. Also if you just use a single layer your model can still stand on it and you can build up the levels if you want deeper rubble.
Just my two cents. | |
