Dramatis Personae: Van Halfling

Hi,

I'd be grateful if people could tell me what they think of these rules for Van Halfling, the infamous scourge of evil (the miniature is from Heresy Miniatures, by the way). Is he too powerful? How much should his hire fee be? Thanks in advance!

Hired by: Witch Hunters, Sisters of Sigmar, Mercenaries, Halflings (are any others suitable?)

Rating: ? (not sure how to determine this)

Equipment: brace of crossbow pistols, sword, dagger, garlic, lucky charm, blessed water.

Skills: step aside, pistolier, eagle eyes, trick shot, dodge.

Special Rules: burn the witch!, fanatical (see Witch Hunter warband rules).

Glorious idea, you may need to give him a way to instil fear into sentient undead and/or possessed units. Or perhaps give him hatred (or something similar) to specific units.

I would suggest that he can be hired against any warband but to reduce his fee if he fights against his much hated foe. Although you would not emply the use of it regularly you could give him a holy relic for flavour.

A fine looking addition to the characterful personalities of ye ol' City of the Damned! Straightforward, just how I likes 'em, but still unique all his own, if ye catch me drift. Perhaps jump his skill with a blade up to a 4, though...to put him a peg above yer run-of-the-mill "johann of Stirland."

Thanks for the ideas! So, weaponskill 4, hatred against undead and chaos (rather than spellcasters, as now. Or maybe spellcasters too?). And a holy relic.

So what should his hire fee be do you think? And is there a way to calculate his rating? Or do I just guess at a number?
