Time for a little update

Flame On have been running their new campaign for a good few weeks now and so far my Blue Moon NIght Goblins have had 5 outings with mixed success, well 2 out of 5 aint too bad for Night Goblins.

One thing that has arisen though is with the fanatics. WS2 and with their weapons being typically 2 handed means that they are striking last and suffer pretty hard in combat despite their high wound rate.

The fanatics on the mordheimer list though have this rule:

Fanatics do tend to under preform for the investment, maybe good addition, it gets my approval, without me having to actually edit the file...

Remember though, models attacking ball and chain wielders are at -1 to hit, which is substantial!

I think the potential to do horrendous damage is balanced with random tendencies across the board with Night Goblins. Squig movement, animosity, random strength spells... thing usually go wrong, but when things go right it is extremely satisfying! tongue

The link in the original post works for me even when I'm signed out of Google. If you do not have a Gmail account you might need to make one to access it.

Night Goblins ver. 0.8 EDIT: SEE FIRST POST

Night Goblin Warband version 0.8 change log

The common consensus seems to be that the warband is underpowered, and even though I an loath to make them too powerful, I have made several adjustments to hopefully balance things.

Made Snotlings more like Nurglings.

Great Squig: Increased toughness to 5 to help offset the chance it has to attack you own models, and has a greater chance to go out of control due to its higher move. A Great Squig is now more comparable to a Rat Ogre stat-wise, so the cost has been increased to 210gc to match.

Animosity removed from Goonz: the warband has proved to be too unmanageable with it. Also, any promoted henchmen lose animosity thanks to their new-found authority. Made Goonz 0-3, bringing starting heroes up to 6. This matches other hoard factions (Skaven, Forest Goblins).

Gave the Herder access to Special skill as well as Herder skills. Increased the range of the Gassy Squig skill to D6”.

Fanatics messed with, no exp gain.

Changed various costs and made formatting changes.

Folded Care and Feedin' into the Trainin' skill for the Herder. Trainin' originally offered no immediate advantage.

Shared setting is as follows:

I don't know how I missed seeing this for so long. I've been using the one off mordheimer. It has lots of issues, but I wanted to use my Kev Adams night goblins. This list is tons better.

Has there been any work done on the doom diver hired sword? Or is there a place where I can download it a little easier? It would be fun to try out a couple times, and give me a reason to use yet another of my favorite models.
