| Subject: Mordheim buildings Mon 22 Feb 2010 - 7:54 | |
| So all of the little things to spruce up a gaming table and set the mood is great. My biggest problem is finding suitable buildings for Mordheim games.
I obviously can not find the original Mordheim buildings, but it seems to be a challenge to find burnt out buildings where mini's can actually enter and move about in. Does anyone know where I can get stencils for the originals, or any reasonably priced building pieces. Thanks for the help.

| I was doing my daily "Miniature search" on ebay and found a miniature from a game caled Tales of War. I found their site [in Spanish aarrgghh] but was lucky and they had an english button [phew!!!] the minis scale are 32mm scale slightly bigger thn most figs from GW's range but with GW's scale creap maybe not as far off as we would think. here is a pic of the Gladiator and Roman Centurion. I think they would be great as minis for a warband...... What do you all think? Cheers GreyWolf | |

| Good morning, everyone. Here is the URL for Antenociti's workshop, which carries the leaf packs Hawkeye asked about (Da Bank's link is not working.... although it should): http://www.barrule.com/Workshop/index.htmlGo to "shop", then "Scratch Builder's Paradise". They are in the U.K. and we are in the U.S., but my wife and I have ordered from them many times and never had any problems with the international mail. They have a lot of other interesting products, too. (Not sure what's up with the URL - the one I had saved looks the same, but did not work, and Da Bank's looks right, but is not working. If my link is also mysteriously not working, just do a search for " Antenociti's Workshop"). I recommend you check out Thomarillion. This company is in Germany, and unfortunately German postal service is on the expensive side. But Thomarillion has some really nice stuff, including ruined statues, dungeon pieces, furniture, and drunk dwarves. What more could you want? http://www.thomarillion.de/The Miniature Building Authority has some nice ruined buildings, many unruined (pre-ruined) buildings, and castle bits. They are high quality, pre-painted resin pieces - and, accordingly, fairly pricey. If they don't fit into your normal hobby budget, still check them from time to time since evey so often they have a damaged box sale (I picked up three buildings at c. half price for my brother for Christmas this year). Their ruined farmhouse is one of the most striking pieces I have for our Mordheim setups - it is the one that always draws everybody's eye when they first play Mordheim with us. Sadly, it seems discontinued now. (These buildings make great Christmas and birthday presents). We have ordered from them a zillion time (we play LOTS of D&D, and are fond of urban adventures). http://www.miniaturebuildingauthority.com/Keep an eye on Kobblestone. At the moment they have a few items (doors, for example) of use for Mordhieming, but most of their buildings - which have tons of character - are solid. However, they have said they are going to start releasing more buildings with access to the interior, and they have recently released a couple that do open up. We have dealt with this company for three or four orders, and have had great service. http://www.kobblestone.ca/Hmmm... my brother sent me a link to a company in Eastern Europe I had not previously heard of, which made some really nice buildings. Apparently I didn't bookmark it. Oooops. I will root through my email and see if I can find it. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. In particular, I was not familiar with some of the model railroad sites. | |

| For some OUTSTANDINGLY good looking trees: http://sweetwaterscenery.com/Home.htm The trees are made from Sage Brush, which I've discovered grow around my neck of the woods [pun only intended if you find it funny, otherwise I disavow all responsibility ]... OH BABY! Old Buddy John picked up a bag awhile back, SO...I can attest to just how GREAT the trees look. | |

| Captain B, have a look at Antenocitis Workshop, in their "embossed styrene" section. They list two lines, Slaters and South East Fine cast. I am not familiar with either (pictures in the relevant subsections). I have never bought anything from these companies, but they may be what you are looking for (I have bought from ANtenocitis before, and had good service). http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/gbu0-catshow/embossedstyrene.html | |

| Excellent. I am tempted myself... By the way, here is another shop that might be of interest to folks, Architects of War: http://greenstuffandbrass.blogspot.com/We picked up some of their stuff at Historicon. My wife particularly recommends the pig sty and the dung heap. | |

I have started working on making my own using Bretonian M@A's and then shaving there helms back and then adding green stuff to make hoods. I have not got to the point of adding green stuff though yet. in other news to buy minis I go with: http://www.miniaturemarket.com/25% off GW minis and a lot of other brands too.

| Subject: Links for good online stores? Tue 26 Jan 2016 - 13:44 | |
| Hey!
I was hoping if anyone could point me in the direction of some good miniature outlets online. I'm thinking especially for undead/mercenaries. There is probably a thread for this elsewhere but i couldn't find it..
Many thanks! | |

| I don't think there is a similar thread actually. Folks tend to ask for or volunteer sources for specific warbands. For example if you do a search of the Painting and Modeling section you will find lots of threads that list alternate sources for dregs or warhounds, for example. Carnival of Chaos is another favorite, as the official miniatures are OoP. A good general source for all things miniature is Reaper, specifically their Dark Heavens and Warlord lines. https://www.reapermini.com/ | |

| Actually there is an existing Sticky Topic called Material Shops in the Painting & Modeling Section. AND now this thread is part of that thread. If your interest is Undead Pirates, you could try Moonlight Miniature: http://www.moonlightmini.com/Moonlight28s.htm | |
