as police forces go these are some rather brutal boys Thanks! The Arbites are indeed a brutal force... I tend to claim that I play the most evil army in the 40K universe - The Sisters of Battle, but the Arbites are not far behind... As for shooting any kind of handheld gun when riding a bike - I would advice against it. I assume they would use their shotguns after stopping and or dismounting. Their weapon when driving would be the grenade launcher or assault cannon (and yes, I do realize that mounting an assault cannon on a bike is a profoundly silly idea - looks cool though).

There's nothing silly about it! It might be a bad idea, but it's not silly ;) Iäm realy glad you were able to find a color scheme you liked for them cause I realy like this bunch (even though those suppresion shields are a pain in the back side).

| Three Armoured Sentinels with autocannon and hunter-killer missile finished, waiting to get their bases done. Left to paint: a group of watchmen, two heavy weapon tanks and a land speeder! Slowly getting there... | |

| The Sentinels to moi are a perfect fit for Arbites...they remind me of the Big Guy in RoboCop. Yours really painted up SUPER...did you air brush them? I love the grey, city(?) camo. TERRIFIC WORK! | |

| Thanks! No air brush! Just plain old dry brushing - when done carefully you can achieve smooth blending. | |

Thanks! Walkers are my favourite pieces in the 40K-verse, so every army I paint get a share of them!

| Now that I think of it, since you have IG, you should go Vendetta Crazy man! Flyers are rad these days, I'm seriouslly thinking on adding an IG ally detachment... or getting at least a couple of IG troops, a IG psycher and a couple of Vendettas as transports as my main army (maybe 3 troops/vendettas, the idea is to go really cheap on the primary army) and then use my Blood angels as the Allies.. going for the Elite expensive hammer units | |

Not very fond of Vendettas. I realize their potential, and appreciate the power of the weaponry, it's just that, well, I don't like them. It's probably some kind of elitist I-steer-away-from-what people-say-is-good mentality. Childish. What I am planning to add to my IG AND SoB forces though is this: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/AVENGER_STRIKE_FIGHTER.htmlLike a fellow Elysian fanatic said over at Warseer: once again Forgeworld has turned on the money vacuum...

| VERY IMPRESSIVE! Although adding additional things is inevitable, it's always a great feeling reaching a stage where those someday units aren't a necessity. The Long Arm of Imperial Law never looked so good before...Guys, Gals, & Dear all painted up TERRIFICALLY. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Thanks guys! It does feel good to have "finished" the project. Now I can concentrate on my Space Wolves and my Ottomans... Thankfully I haven't acquired a new project for myself in a while... | |

| Great army with lots of cool little details. How did you paint those pale coats? They are really nice and I would be happy if you could share some pointers | |

How did you paint those pale coats? They are really nice and I would be happy if you could share some pointers Thanks Alex! The coats are painted (if I remember correctly) in the following manner: First a black basecoat, then a layer of Vallejo Green ochre. Next is generous drybrushing of bleached bone. The finishing touch is a wash of the reddishbrown type - I believe I used GW:s pre-Reikland Fleshshade, (Ogryn something?). The trick is to let the drybrushing and washing do the work for you. Try it, you will probably find it easy!
