OK, a warband I painted this summer. The color scheme turned out kind of boring, so I might repaint these sometime in the future. The models and their posing are good though. Mostly GW, with a few Warmachine minis.

The Men in Blacks turned out TERRIFIC! You have a real eye for choosing COOL minis, AND a way with the paint brush. VERY WELL DONE!

I really like the color scheme mate, I wouldn't change it, it does look like an organized warband. Maybe adding some dry-brushing here and there to bring up details. but overall very well done!

I like the colors too, they are quite dark but that is only fitting for Mordheim IMHO.

I thinks the colours are fitting just fine! They look awesome as a group IMHO. Neatly painted, looking very nice! And by the way, I can't but wonder how you have so many warbans painted to such a great standard.

Well, I paint like a madman. I flail my arms wildly, and utter bizarre rants, while not singing parts of old sea shanties on top of my voice. Also, I show a lot of skin, and sweat like a lumberjack on speed.

Apart from that, I've found that practice makes, well, perhaps not perfect, but, ehm, decent. My hands have become steadier, and my washing, drybrushing, and highlighting techniques have improved. Also, I always begin painting a warband with the minis that are not part of the starting group, and do the heroes last. That way I have an incentive to keep painting, and I get to try out the colour combos and blending a few times, before it gets real, so to speak.

Lastly, all you forumites are a true inspiration! So many nice minis and cool conversions, so much hobby zest and pure friendliness.

PS: look out for my new female norse warband, and most of my beastmen of Ind. There will be pics tomorrow! DS.

I acquired this excellent model from sianpää, for inclusion in my Nuln gang. Not having touched the brushes in a while, I felt a bit rusty, but I think the result was okay.



Not based yet, but it will get the same kind of base as the others.

Is that an old GW-Mini? Very nice, anyways. The color-scheme is fitting as well. Nice of you to resurrect this old thread, now I can ask you what manufacturer this one mini in the first post is from: the big marksman with crossed arms that is definitely not from the today's GW-range.

I was getting worried you would not paint this one after all, glad I was wrong.

Rusty or not, the new Lad (Averlander?) turned out TERRIFIC...very expressive face. I still haven't gotten around to painting the one I have...someday. VERY WELL DONE!

Thanks! It's an Averlander Mordheim mini. That mini you mention is from the Warmachine range if I remember correctly. More precisely, I think, from the Khador section. They do make some good minis!

Thanks Nala and Sianpää! I do think that he will fit well with my Nulnites, who share a penchant for plumes, feathers and ostentatious clothing...

Great mini indeed, and the paintjob looks good, and the foto you´ve taken is much better compared to the rest of the gang pics.

I guess you're right about the biking thing (although I can report that the same seems not to be the case with skateboarding - ouch!). These pics are actually the result of a second photo session - the pics I took first turned out very crappy indeed and were scrapped.

Folke you over productive bastard! This is a great warband! Cool choice of warriors with a nice uniformal paintscheme.

Thanks Alex and Ed! The Gunnery School naturally embraces uniforms as a way to mold the minds of their apprentices. Cadian bits indeed, thanks to hamster who convinced me it would work, and gave me a few legs and torsos to experiment with.

Now that I think about, the rest of the gang has been gently and slightly repainted... which means I need to post new and better pics. *sigh*

New pictures are always welcome! Doesn't it sometimes feel like you are just constantly doing the same warriors as your skill increase? I know I feel that way

Not sure how exactly you mean, but I tend to explore new ground modelwise, although I have a tendency to use certain colourschemes and shadings too often. Washes help though! It's amazing what picking the "wrong" wash can do for a colour scheme!
