Maudeheim & Environs Part I: Updated 10/29/13

I'm starting doubting of my mental sanity.
Looking your AWSOME job i've started asking myself "How could it be living in a house like that? How many (sh)rooms wll it have?"
Then i figured myself, sitting in my bathroom throne in the morning, with one of those faces staring at me and complaining about everything.
Mh...too much work for me in these days.

Well with the Smuggler's craft: I started them in '08 or so, before I moved to Texas. It didn't look like I'd be using them for anything & the the one, the Nasty Nancy, got pretty beaten up on the trip down here. However, the Islets in their swamp conjure up images of Great Uncle Gus & his rum running exploits. Woot! Looking forward to it. I know the ills of fixing things. Major portions of my terrain are broken or have suffered minor damage. Tonights graveyard looked like the vandals had come through. Standing stones tipped over. Gravestones missing, statues fallen. So sad.

The Mushrooms have now been mounted on their very own islet awaiting the Sisters arrival...their former Neighbors wished them "Godspeed & good riddance." At any rate, here are some photos:

The static grass looks really good. These vibrant colors and living flora make the whole project seem like a fairy tale nightmare, I love it.

I'll have the Group Islets photos up when PhotoBucket allows me to upload...I hate it when they screw up my access.
The static grass is some new stuff from Heki I'm trying out...it's similar to the Army Painter tufts but less expensive. I dry brush the stuff after the spray finish.

I love the undercut bank and all of their former victims/mushrooms. Or are theiy growing new houses?

Yet again your Alice In Wonderland-meets-Brian Froud style serves you well! The mushrooms look great, and each face has it's own little personality. My personal fave is the one with his tongue sticking out. Very nicely done. ;o)

Thanks for letting me know they were visible. The Photo Bucket thing was really getting to me; figuring out an alternate way to post relieved the imminent doom feelings. I'm glad you like the stuff.

The trees are branches & bark from the pecans & live oaks that surround the house. I just doctor them up a bit. I also have some sage brush I'll be turning into tees along with the wire ones I knock out.

Great stuff! I wanna use it for playing a campaign! AAARRRGH! I wish I had time for terrain making/miniature painting/gaming! This studying AND working thing is so tiring.
