| Thanks once more for the kind commentary. I just finished the dry brush routine on a fourth tree...about at the halfway point with the existing live trees. I think the next ones I do I'll try doing the highlighting prior to gluing the foliage in place...it might go a bit quicker without avoiding slopping up the branches. I could see the woods as a Empire in Flames setting. It's been so long since last I faced a live opponent across a gaming table that I hadn't considered what games it might fit into. A couple of Guys mentioned that the stuff gives them nightmares; SO Gothic Horror might be a possibility. | |

| Having finished the mind numbingly tedious dry-brushing, I lost focus for awhile. As the fog lifted...kind of...I started doing some more Mushrooms & a group of minis. Here's what I have going thus far: For some reason or other, these Mushroom Lads remind me of a group of Carolers: AND The Pumpkin Head Witch's Hunters: More photos as they progress...you can consider yourselves warned. | |

| Thanks, floedebolle! I'm taking what I like from G.W. & making it over into my own take on the Beasty...more of a comic horror thing. | |

| The pumpkinheads are awesome! Reminds me of when I was a kid, I used to play a videogame called Ogre Battle that had pumpkin-heads as a race of characters that could join your army, and they were always my favorites. funny that you used the Reaper pumpkins, I had been toying with the idea of doing the exact same thing. Seeing how well yours turned out, I may just have to go ahead and order a pack or two to make a warband. | |

| Thanks for the feedback, Guys.... YET MORE motivation! @luckyjoe: I figured I may as well include some of the other pieces for atmosphere...the Stump/Tree Guys like the attention. @Myntokk: I relly like the Reaper pieces; the pack comes with 4 Lack O'Lanterns & 3 regular pumpkins, which are somewhat smaller than their carved brethren. Even with the variety of facial expressions offered in the pack, I'm experimenting with making my own versions for diversity sake...I get carried away very easily. | |

| Pumpkin Head Witch Hunters, Im havin that! Great use of that imagination of yours again DeafNala. I think you could have started a craze. VEGHEIM along with Floedebolle you are certainly supplying me with my five a day fruit and veg intake! Looks like we are all going to get lost in the (Chaos) Suermarket after all.
Great stuff! | |

| Thanks for the feedback, Guys...it is appreciated. Since you were kind enough to take the time to comment, here's a bit of a more tangible thank you...sort of; YET ANOTHER Pumpkinhead, albeit a somewhat larger one, in the works: To accommodate a larger Jack O' Lantern, I used an Orc torso & arms. Strange, eh? | |

| First you must do a group of chaotic carolers. And quickly!
Second, the pumkin-heads are an inventive use of bitz and models from different companies.

| As always, beautiful and creative miniatures! And even if the pumpkins have an "owner" (I'll be ordering some from them at any point) your use of the heads was very imaginative!

| Thanks again, Guys! I think part of the appeal & most of the disturbing qualities about the Pumpkinheads & other pieces I do comes from a lack of proportion & an asymmetrical appearance. - Von Kurst wrote:

Actually I've got an idea for the Choir Director, & maybe a Haunted Christmas Tree...the Creche Scene is too horrible to contemplate.

| Some small progress...here's the new, W.I.P. Pumpkin on the block: He's another of the larger Jack O' Lanterns. This time with Goblin legs, Empire Militia boots, Orc Torso, & Empire General arms...he'll never get a passport. AND the first Big Pumpkinhead is completed: The growing Group: As always comments & critiques would be WILDLY APPRECIATED...for the most part. | |

| Love the look of your WIP pumpkinhead! The oversized head and body on stunted legs give a very comical appearance. They're looking great so far, can't wait to see that fellow painted up alongside them. | |

| WOW!...that may be a record response time; normally anything less than 24 hours is a plus. Thanks, Myntokk...glad you like the Lads. I have two more that are being painted & three more Jack O' Lanterns ready to become W.I.P. pieces. | |
