| The Ral Partha/Iron Wind Mimics are REALLY cool pieces..I have that barrel floating around somewhere in the Gallery section. NICE JOB on the pieces. There's a scenario in one of the Towne Crier articles detailing the City Quarters that has statues of Wizards as still alive & capable of casting spells on hapless passing folk... MIGHT be something to look into. | |

| Thanks! I've got a bed-mimic somewhere too, if I can only find it to repaint. Any idea which issue of town crier it was with the wizard statues? Here's a book case: And yet more statues. Most of my terrain consists of statues, I think... | |

| Nice stuff, I like the idea of the bookcase on the base! I contstantly think I should add more little touches to my buildings, but then find that my gaming group are a bit ruthless with the buildings and they normally get broken off Basing them might be my answer! I think I still have a few of those coffin lids laying around too | |

| @meerkat: I believe the Wizard Statue scenario is in TC#26...it's an issue I lent to a Fellow Forumite never to be seen again. It ALSO has the Gangs of Mordheim scenario for a REALLY big & very different game. As HornedRat mentioned, having your detailing pieces removable SHOULD save them from the hamfisted oafs that haunt the games. If you need anymore ideas. I have some similar pieces here: https://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/scenery-f13/random-thingys-for-the-montana-kid-t778.htm . | |

| Glad you liked the pieces. Making little detail thingys is a favorite project with moi. The faces I did on the Stump Man can also serve for haunted possessed structures from HELL!...from a building I did for matt.

Well it's sculpted, but using plumbler's epoxy, which is similar to Milliput. I use the plumber's epoxy with all my bases & stuff that doesn't need to hold a high degree of detailing. I has the advantage of drying in 5 to 10 minute [cures in under a half hour] AND it's MUCH less expensive than GS...different tools for differnt jobs. @meerkat: Creepy & spooky was the effect I was going for. Faces, hands, stuff like that look cool coming out of walls & the ground for a bit of atmosphere. AND, if I can mke them ANYONE can...give it a try. Most of the little detail thingys I do are based in scrap 1/4" pink foam, the ones in the thread being an exception. Using the foam I can get the extras to blend in with the gaming board(s) so they can be used as removeable details. This saves quite a bit of wear, tear, & collateral damage during the course of games...gamers CAN be SUCH oafs. | |
