I like the dangerous wench from Black Cat Bases, here is Cianty's version (painted by Admin Tom).

AHA! So that's where the mini comes from. cianty hinted the mini maker's name appeared in his blog...UNFORTUNATELY whenever I try to access his site it locks up my Ancient PC & a reboot in in order. Thanks, No Time!

The facial expressions on these two are somewhat softer than the Dark Sword norm... rather pretty, eh?!

well, the Elf seem to be saying "don't mess with me, or ...."
but why are the samourai swords so hot on certain mini's ? I don't really like japanese stuff on fantasy mini's. It's okay for oriental orientated or manga style stuff, but I find them somewhat misplaced between my sword & sorcery stuff ...

I'm not really a big fan of Oriental weapons with Western minis either...I blame it ALL on Hollywood or George Bush like most things that are screwed up in the world.

In case you're wondering, the RIP in the post appears on all Dennis Mize's scupts for Dark Sword. He passed away earlier this year. As one of the original sculptors, along with Tom Meier & Julie Gutherie, at Ral Partha he was a major contributor to the growth of the miniatures industry & the tremendous improvements in their quality. His passing leaves us all so much poorer.

It always bugs me when artist put a woman in plate armour that leaves her midriff bare. I would have snatched this up right away if she was properly armoured, that pose is just so cool.

You don't often find an alluring female snake thingy & the Norse Chick ROCKS! DS's strong points are their attention to details, as you'd expect from an outfit using conception art by three of the Masters in the field, AND their realistic weaponry...no inflatible swords & axes here. NICE CHOICE of minis, BossFacePunch!

Which brings me to my next exposition of female minis...Dwarf Dolls:

LOVE the Cat Chicks...the second one down has a rather endearing expression. The Alkemy Cat Folk conjure up adventures in Mysterious Ind in my enfeebled old mind. ACTUALLY there seems to be quite a bit of interest in the game around here...or so I'm told.

That was also one of the reaper minis I ordered along with Azrin the barbarian almost a year ago, still hasn't turned up, f*****g reaper >.<
