I've got the same problem ; I want my mini's to game with (although I play rather seldom), so mostly I stick to more or less standard bases.
Which are much too small to do much with, compared to bases you can have without space limitations. (not that I'm very good at that, but I would like to ...)

For a larger, more heavily sceniced bases, I make a movement/display base with cut outs that accommodate the little bases. Now I've started making Morheim style ruins & similar pieces as display settings for the minis. They seem to be fairly popular with the Guys & Gals I paint for...AH the $s keep seeping SLOWLY in.

The bard is a Masterpiece !!! So GREAT !

A nice collection, well, I'm trying to finish with GW Mordheim' minis, but it's quite too expensive, and my wife is watching, what can I do if I take into account that I will stay with her all my life ?

I have the plastic Empire ones mostly finished, Sisters of S (a long while ago), had to take a break from my witchunters (see my other threads), and bought the possessed box.
I hope to have the hunters ready by the end of the year, and hopefully can start on the possessed next year...
i'm not much into plastics, but been drooling over the daemonettes. My son would like to play beastmen. I have old metal ones, but maybe I'll need the plastic ones as well ...
But I just bought for about 50 € on ebay on Rackham mini's when I discovered Ludikbazar ; there I had 140 €.
And I'm unemployed .... so my wife thinks that it's about time I keep my promise "No honey, I won't be buying any more figs.... Yes, I know dear, I have more than I'll ever be able to paint, let alone play with .... Yes Love, I know I'm fooling myself when I say 'maybe the kids will love them as well ...'

so even if you only can take crappy pics (what I can, you most certainly can also ! it's just some trail & error, mostly with the light. Direct light is no good at all !) please share them ! (you know the only ideas I have are the ones I can steal, so ... !)

I'm trying to buy all the Mordheim minis for all the warbands, except Witch Hunters (even if I have most of them), Possessed and Skavens, which are the property of my bro
So, I miss 2 Ostlanders minis, 3 Averlanders, zombies and ghouls, some kislevites (too expensive for me, I have some but I see a blister of 3 is going to end at more than 60€ !!! I bought mine 25€ ,and I was a fool...), some carnival of chaos (one brute, one plague bearer and the nurglings), new sisters of Sigmar (NEVER seen them on Ebay ), the troll slayer pit fighter, some beastmen raiders, the witch, the kislev ranger, the treasure hunter, the stage coach, the merchant, the angry mob, the hunter and Marianna (DP).
I miss some other stuff like the "dead" minis and scenery, quite rare...

Ohhh... I have a lot to buy !!! Like you ! But I have a work, and my wife too, with no child, so why can't I buy minis, uh ?

I want to look into that Crusader thing also (don't know it), since a second Sisters warband seems attractive. (mine was painted a couple of years ago)

I have to thank this thread for introducing me to reaper's minis. Their quality is so vastly superior to GW minis, that and they do female models ^_^

Considering the photos are taken "professionally" as a means of selling their minis, quite a lot of Reapers photos DO NOT do the minis justice.
Since I stumbled on the last few minis while browsing my way through the War Store, I got to compare prices. The War Store offers thes two Girls at $7.99 & $5.69 restectively...not too bad a savings there.

last time I checked though, the rackham was about € 12 and the freebooter about 17 ... a tad too expensive for me.

I hadn't seen the Rackham Batwinged Babe before. One thing Freeboother & Rackham have in common is that I can't afford EITHER one of them...life can be SO CRUEL!

There's something about the legs on the Rackham Succubi that I find less than alluring...maybe a tad too long.
