First Game...s

this is my first battle report so bear with me! oh and i have a rubbish memory so this may be a little fuzzy. (sorry no picures)
Battle 1 - Ambush
ok the terrian was set up like street fight. all the terrain down the sides but with barracades at the opposite ends. i set of on one side of tghe street, a smaller edge, and with skaven on my left!
Turn 1 - SW
Ok first turn as attacker i get it and my opponent was playing 2 skaven warbands! but used one for this... basicly he had a skaven adept a black skaven and a rat ogre on the board in that order going up the left side and me at the "base" of the board. Any way movement i moved my 5" towards the adept and stopped. shot at the adept killing him!
Turn 1 - Skaven
He moved towards me with the ogre and away with the black skaven to the oppisite ed of the board than me. and thats it.
Turn 2 - SW
I moved my 5" towards the rat ogre and shot it... i wounded it twice 1 wound! (i think) and thats it...
turn 2 - Skaven
all his men come on next to the black skaven (a smaller edge) and he moved the rat ogre towards me.
Turn 3 - SW
moved and shot as normal took out rat ogre now only 5 more to kill!
Turn 3 - Skaven
Tried to take his route test and failed (awwww) game over SW win
ok next battle up tomorrow and this wa my first game oh and this warband was disbanded after this match...

keep a scrap piece of paper next to you and try to jot down a few notes, it's usually enough to have a rough outline of the map and your starting positions even if it ends up looking like a modernist abstract you'll still remember atleast half the battle through muscle memory. for the finer point for point blows you just wing it.

NOT BAD for a first battle report. As you go along & get the mechanics of the beasty down, you'll get more into story telling. Read some of War Boss Kurgan's tales for the flavor. Keep up the GOOD WORK!

Best advice: get a camera. :3

A few pictures of the battlefield , especially the initial deployment and the way things look at the start of each turn combined with an MS Paint doodled picture to match goes a long. :3

Battle 2
this one has 3 warbands since our third member arrived (and left after this...) so skaven and sw and possesed... fun fun fun... oh and on this map the grey lines are barracades and the black are walls of buildings (the skaven were on the roofs on 1 story high)

Nuriel Watched as the skaven surged forwards and the closest to him retreated behind the barracades then the Shadow Weaver, Tathan, enveloped himself in shadows and ran to where was to break through. Then Nuriel and his men shot at the two skaven cringing behind the barracades near him and were peppered by arrows ,one dead and one stunned. In the distance the possesed human sprintedforwards into three skaven amd it resulted in a fierce melee which left one dead, one stunned and one still standing. The rest of the chaotic group moved up and over the barricades.

The Skaven went mad at the loss of their vermin kin. One vermin kin charged the possesed and the adept and another vermin kin charged a brethren. In the combat the skaven against the possesed wher obliterated, they were all stunned or knocked down and a couple out of action. the brethren survived and did nothing against his attackers and he stood his ground. Then Nuriel and his band of 4 walked and shot at the skaven. One of his band felled him but they don't know who... Tathan ran down the sides of the buildings to breakthrough. The possesed seeing his chance charge Nuriel and knocked him down. The brethren still held his ground...

Now Nuriel breifly glimpsed the skaven attacking the chaos magister and him standing but not doing anything... Nuriel stood up facing the monsterous possesed, his band of shadow warriors attacked it but to no avail... and not happy of being attacked the possesed attacked the shadow warriors taking three out of action... A beastman seeing his leader in distress harged the two skaven from behind and the other brethren had finally been taken out of action...
The Skaven seeing their chance surged to breakthrough and the wizard and a vermin kin got away... the fight with the possesed carried on but nothing happened but failure for both sides... The possesed routed and Tathan had got away while Nuriel had been charged...
After the battle Nuriel had learned to use all weapons and Tathan became faster... But two Shadow Warriors passed away that night... Nuriel had learned that the skaven had sold a brethren off to slavery and the magister had made a full recovery... That battlefield had signalled the start of a miniture war agianst each of those warbands...

Good lord I'm starting to sympathize with elves, must be turning ill.
Hope this is the beginning of a long line of grudge matches and spite filled actions of vengeance for you..
or a tour of world peace, hugging, cookie baking, obsessive compulsive shaving the ritual of ye olde bottleblonding and frollicking hand in hand on sunbathed flowery meadows
in an androgynous yet very feminine manner.
You know non-dwarven elf stuff 0_o

and I'm back to normal.
Elf brain is good for zombie digestion systems etc etc..

Ok after the last game our possesed player left so me and me old bud skaven try to masacre each other again but now on street fight.
Nuriel was happy after last week... 2 Men lost... Nuriel's Band moved up and shot at the skaven taking one out of action. The skaven ran forwards, the new five man groupclimbing on the baricade. Once again a volley went of taking another out of action and knocking one over. Now the skaven were mad surging forwards towards the Pointy ear ones. And the final volley went out towards the knocked over skaven and took him out of action... The skaven fled at the sight of their fallen brethen...

Yes that game was boring

The Battle Reports are taking on their own character...GOOD & INTERESTING reads. The maps are a nice touch. WELL DONE!

As a Golbin Guy I share your feeling about the stuck up, pointy eared fops...they DO make EXCELLENT fertilizer though. I think the reason they genrate fear in Goblin kind has something to do with a resemblence to Richard Simmons... with a LOUSY attitude.
