Church (WIP)

Some Picts on the upcomming church.
Just the very beginning.
Pictures taken fast and theres two models showing the size of it...

The church is about to have a small bell tower made of wood, the graveyard are sure gonna have some stones...
The catacombs are going to have lots of details.

Ow snap you got alot done yesturday! (I know Cavonius IRL! Who wants to touch me!?) Everything looks awsome, the tone walls, the main entrance and the church walls! I cant wait to se the catacombswhen they are done... its gonna be a treat! And i cant wait to get to play on this! My Orc hord trying to claim it from your Witch Hunters!

LOTS of POTENTIAL with this sucker...the Graveyard & Catacombs both have some GREAT modeling possibitlities; AND the Church itself is turning out TERRIFIC. Keep up the FINE WORK! ...or ELSE .

Well on the church itself, theres much more to be done.
Puttu is going to get up on the walls, there are going to be lots of rubble.
Seats and a statue are going to be there... etc, etc....

The church is looking great so far, Cavonius!

What really caught my eye are those amazingly painted miniatures! Do you have pictures of them, or maybe your entire warband?

Keep it up, I'm looking forward to see it finished!

I am going to take some pictures of them, probably this week.
There at our gaming club. so wont be there for some days now.

The warband is buillt, but there are only 4 modells finished. all the others are ate base coulors.

But check out the model section later this week.

I've done some more building on the church now.

All the putty is on. And I have started to work on the interior of the building, some benches, altar stuff and a statue for the small room tho the right.

Fluffwise though, I guess a Church in our conventional "place for burial ritual" kind of sence, would be a "Garden of Mórr" with a temple, and therefore build accordingly, but nevermind that, this piece is turning out beautifull!

That Warrior Priest might just be the coolest one I have ever seen btw. any chance we could get a run-down of the parts?

Hmm, the garden are probably gonna include a dead tree, and maybe some small temple/shrine.


About the warrior priest:

Legs, skull/scroll, back of the hammer top and there is a key hanging from the belt: Flagellant sprue.
Head and hammer top: Chaos warrior sprue
Chest plate: Carved out from a arm protection on the plastic giant sprue.
Arms: Mordheim "empire" pitfighter.
Book on his back: Luthor huss (empire special caracter).
Leg plates: Old empire regiment sprue.
Base: Structured plastic card.

And some green stuff to put i all together.

Update!

Putty added and roof (not finished).

For the moment you can remove the roof. This is for easier painting + there are goning to be more stuff and rubble in the church...

Its comming along great! I can se my orcs trying to storm the church and your Witch hunters defending it

Wow, that's looking great.
I would suggest keeping the roof removable - makes it a lot easier to get in and around. Nice touches with the broken boards on the roof as well.
What model have you used for the statue?
Can't wait to see the finished product.

Well I have thinked about it, but I'm going to glue it on, as the hole is so big that you can fit a hand with models in easy. and the roof is kind of fragile to.

Actually a did a lazy one and took one from the warhammer fantasy house kit. Standing on some stones.

How in the name of the Corpse Emperor you did the 'peeled off' plaster that reveals the brick under it? You know like the one near the door? I mean... that is WICKED cool!

I am jealous as this is one of the sweetest pieces of terrain I have seen.

Well if you meen the walls, they are made of foamboard. That I draw bricks on with a regular pen(where i needed it). then i put regular wallputty on. Simple as that!

While the Church itself is COOL & coming along quite NICELY, what make the model special for moi IS knowing it will be surrounded by a graveyard with catacombs beneath...VERY SPOOKY prospect. Keep up the GOOD WORK, Amigo!

Uh, I forgot all about the catacombs....
Now I can't wait to see the finished result!
