| Hi guys, I've got this new pot of Mechrite Red (Foundation Paint) and it's behaving like a wash. i paint it on and it's really watery and runs into all the cracks and leaves the surface unpainted. The only use I've found for it is painting it on swords because it looks like dried blood (sort of blackish where it's thickest going gradually to dark-red at the edges). What the **** is wrong with it? | |

| I've got a pot of merchrite red, too, and it works fine with me... Have you tried shaking it like crazy? Perhaps the more solid components have settled on the bottom and only the solvent is left on top. | |

Have you tried shaking it like crazy? Perhaps the more solid components have settled on the bottom and only the solvent is left on top. I couldn't think of a better explanation! let us know if it works _________________ ..and by a roll of the dice you go under..

| did you clean the model? if your model is a bit "oily" then paint will not stick that good, and it wil chip off during use... so perhaps give it a bath, and try again? (be carefull with the foundations though, as they are rather thick... | |

| The Foundation paints separate very easily. Stir them up as well as shaking them and you'll be fine.
When thinning them with water, you will notice they separate fast on the palette. They need mixing a lot more often. | |

| try puting bitz of spare metal inside the paint tube. Those tend to boost your efforts when shaking it like crazy. Worked for me with even extremely old paints, so it mught work for you Hope that helps. Cheers, Xavi | |

| better more and smaller bitz. A cent coin is MASSIVE: the good thing about smalle rpieces are the edges and that they will scrape the borders of the paint, making it loser, and helping it mix well. I doubt a cent coin can do that.... unless you break it in small parts, hat is.
Cheers,
