Problems with replies

So last night I logged on and found a new format for the reply box.  The box was white but only deep enough to show the various choices like bold, italic,etc.  There seem to be more choices but there seemed to be no room for text. 

I tried dragging the box wider at which point the screen would reset to the little icons for bold, italic. etc.  But still no possiblity of typing in text so I gave up.

This morning when I logged on I had a box with room for text although the box would slowly become narrower until the text would dissappear.  Then the heading bar would start to expand.  Kind of like the trash compacter in Star Wars.

I messed with it a bit and if I click on the lower right corner of the box (rather than drag) the box stops closing at that point.

What's up with that?

What browser are you using? It does look weird and different to me too, but it's working okay!

I'm not liking this new layout for the text box at all either. But at least I works for me.

I'm using Firefox right now.

Internet explorer.  He said after struggling to stop the box from closing altogether.

If a thread has lots of photos nothing I do arrests the process.

However I opened up Chrome and that works fine so far.  I shall have to stop hating Chrome.

I did find that I could post in photo heavy threads if I hit the Post Reply tab, something I have not bothered with in YEARS.

What version of Internet Explorer? You always have problems with Internet Explorer. Especially version 8 and below are not well-supported nowadays.

Can you upgrade to version 9 of Internet Explorer? You would definately benefit from an upgrade overall, not only on this site.

The Little White Box seems to be a universal thing with all Google forums. Death Squad now sports the same reply box...I hate "New & Improved".

how would you hate Chrome while using IE? I've never had any love for IE, so it's been firefox for me for a long time, though connectivity in Chrome made me switch to that (heavy android and google user, so having it all registered in the same place is easy) there's just some forms that it can't really coop with. 

Also, having to build websites for all the backset structures in IE is a pain in more than just the backside... there's all these beautifully crafted new codes which it just refuses to read.

I recommend switching to either chrome or firefox and let your troubles be in the past


and yeah, I don't like the white box either...

I have learned to post with the White Box.  It has some auto format issues that I could do without, but I figured out how to post images so I'm happier.

As for Chrome, it was another gul-durned new thing.  Hates them new-fangled things.
