| Does anyone else think this is a good idea (sorry, no question mark on my bros ******* machine!!). Theyd have half the range, but triple the width at full range. Also, it would stop pseudo firing lines of 4+ blunderbuss hitting an entire warband. | |

| I have no idea how that would impact the game, but it WOULD MOST DEFINITELY be an accurate way of representing the spread of shot. They DO call shot guns/blunderbusses "scatter guns" afterall. BTW that sort of template is OFTEN used in historical games to represent the area of effect for grape shot from artillery pieces. | |

| It is even used in the Legends series of Warhammer Historical to represent the area of effect of blunderbusses... | |

| Indeed. Much more accurate area of effect IMO. I think it was not included because it would require an extra template not included with the game. So they simplified the area of effect of the weapon to make it easier to use for everybody that dso not have a handy template nearby. If your group wants to house rule that, it sounds perfectly fine Cheers, Xavi | |

| I think Ill have to try it. Itll be (at least) as balanced as currently. And easier to do, as you just hold over the target(s). | |

| I really like the idea as this is how a blunderbuss would shoot but I would shorten the distance to maybe 12 inches but a wider pattern. | |

| Indeed, it sounds like a great Idea, and it would make less of a problem of my narrow long alleys! hehe, so thanks!
Da Bank, the flame template is already shorter, so you'd have no problem with the range.

| The benefit is that its wider at the top so you may hit more people.
The major flaw is the fact that you loose distance which means less leeway in manouvering. I mean this in the sense that you move within 12 inches and fire hitting the front guy and anyone in the inches behind. where as if the template is smaller you have to get within chare range to fire it at the front guy and ones behind.
may make it too risky to do as you get charged next turn where as the 1inch wide and 16inch long allows enough room to be out of charge range. _________________

| It's supposed to be a flaw, hitting half a warband and not even getting charged just isn't fair. Anyway, it should encourage my favourite (fun) Blunderbuss-tactic - shoot to soften the warband up then get stuck in. | |

| I don't see the blunderbuss thing as bad personally. hitting half your warband is only a problem if you group them up, so technically the blunderbuss acts in a deterrant for mass mobs meaning your enemy has to split up adding advantage to you _________________ | |

| I rarely see the BB do critical damage to a warband, it's mostly the psycological part that makes it worth the gold - that the enemy player spreads out to avoid a single shot and makes his units vulnerable to the rest of the warband hehe.. just charge the damn guy so he have to shoot it against one or 2 targets and he's done for | |

| If I ever get a blunderbuss it would be for a second liner for sure. If you allow him to be forced to shot instead of chosing when to shot yourself, you have done something wrong CHeers, Xavi | |

| I absolutely love blunderbusses! I've been playing around with the idea of a Marienburg warband with 3 or 4 of them... Regarding the change it's hard to see if it would change the balance of the weapon, but it sure would change the strategy needed to use it well. | |

| that's so sweet using the template!! The bludnerbuss now, has more of a raygun, beam cannon kinda feel... but with the flame template it would have a n accurate feel! I'm going to take this idea and incorporate it into my pocket mordheim project, if that is ok? i'll build a new template, for the right scale. cheers | |

No, and I'll (personally) come up to the Netherlands and confiscate all your possesions and remove you and your family's right to hapiness (I know Goliath inc.)

| Okay, here's the deal: if you can tell me what Goliath Inc. is then you can use my idea. If you can do it without using the internet then I'll back you up in sayin it was all your idea.
PS. I'll know if you use the web because I know Goliath inc.
PPS. Here's a clue: they are directly linked to the Toast Marketing Board.
