Maudeheim & Environs, Part III: Updated 11/04/24

In addition the the unattached buildings, I decided to do a small Blight photo stage. I already had one building that was pretty much done, only the ground floor need some work. SO this is how it looks now:




There is a lot yet to do.

Hurray! Some more buildings, im curious how they gonna look with paint!!!

There is lots to do before they are ready to paint, but the one on the right is pretty much done AND should give you an idea how the other three will look.

I made some progress on the Blight Stage:




The white on black should give you & me a better idea where this is going.

The roofs are now tiled. The tiling is tedious, messy, & one of those things that is only fun when it is over:




AND now that part is done...OH BABY!

Edit: Do u have any idea about colour-scheme by now?

The new building will have colors similar to the old one on the right.
I finished the balconies late last night. Today I'll work on the windows & doors. Then the painting & detailing.
I am hoping to wrap it up over the weekend.

Definitely. As soon as it is done, the suffering involved is forgotten...being creative is, to an extent, being nuts.

Today I did the door & window frames AND made the remaining three doors. The windows will get the faces-lurking-behind-the-drapes effect, AND the one second from the right will receive a couple of shuttered/boarded up windows:

AND today I finished carving & base coating the street, added a storm/sewer grate, & Faces in windows & doors plus an eye in the rat hole:










This Little Door Face has been here for a couple of years, but he wanted his photo, SO:

AND a Wanted poster for a local Witch...the poster was removed for painting after the photo:


I will see just how much I can get done today...if anything.  

The eye in the peep hole is a great little detail.

Thanks, Codsticker. I am glad you like The Eye. It is something that appeared regularly in a cartoon I used to draw.  

Before we went off to distant Bee Cave for King Damnit the 1st's provisions. I finished the Wanted poster.

The street scene is getting more colorful. Two roofs, two door & the window treatments are left to be done:

haha, this poster is nice. Hurray its growing. Wow, u put allot of handmade detail in there!!! Its really cute with the faces And nice colour choice by now. Im curious about the shingles.

I love the stucco colours and texture DN- really nice painting.

You get to see the shingles right after I reply. The Blight photo stage is just about done. Only the inevitable tweaking remains. I am glad you are enjoying the progress!

Thanks, Codsticker. I am glad you like the colors. They just came to me as I worked on it.

I finished up the painting & such on another reclaimed Blight building...the home of the all seeing Yenta:












With all the possible urban photo spots, I will have to work more urban folk to photograph...eventually.
