Wow! You've been quite productive! Great update and there's more on the way it seems I see an interesting hunched big fellow in the top left corner and also an evil bunny or so. Can't remember seeing them before or did I miss something?

Thanks, Gatlag. Starting on the Mushrooms while my eyes are getting well enough to resume painting miniatures again has seemed to have restored my enthusiasm. I am putting in more time & the result are evident in the number of pieces approaching completion. I am happy you are enjoying the progress, Gatlag.
The Big Guy is a Formian Giant by Reaper. The twisted Rabbit is the Hare from Wyrd's Tortoise & the Hare. I am not surie I posted them here. If I did it would have been several years ago. The two of them were sitting on my desk for lack of anywhere else to sit. They need some dusting & a touchup or two,

Wow! So much pictures! Sweet looking shrooms and thanks for the Hare and the Giant, they look great (pun intended for the giant). And man...that's one evil bunny!

Thanks for the ongoing support, Gatlag. I am glad you like the stuff. The Giant has Chaos potential, AND Wyrd does have a way with evil looking minis. GW may be dark, but Wyrd rules EVIL.

Lately I have been using slices of floral foam spheres. Once I hot glue them to LITKO wood bases, they get coated with Woodland Scenics Foam Putty & a layer of tack glue & sand. Glad you like the update, Gatlag!

Floral foam spheres? That's a really good idea! The base is pretty easy to build up like that. Have you just recently switched to this method? Because your latest work looks really nice!

I have been doing the spheres for a couple of years, but more lately. It works best with things I want to look a bit surrealistic...like the Mushrooms. I use all sorts of things to form shapes under the groundwork. Thanks for the reply, Gatlag. I am glad you like the stuff!

Thanks, Gatlag. The rounded bases are easy to miss. I think the angle of the Mushrooms emphasizes the curve. I am glad you like them & took the time to say so!

Thanks, Gatlag. I am happy you like him/them. I have the three pieces base coated. They should start getting some color today. With nothing else going on, I should make some decent progress over the weekend.
Marty the Kitten will help.
