| Howdy folks! After starting Mordheim about three years ago I decided to finally finish my collection of half-painted minis and this seems just the place to show them off to fellow wanderers of the city of the damned. So without much further ado a look at my Sisters of Sigmar warband, the Fishmarket Women's Choir. Old picture from when I started and had freshly assembled my first warband. The first finished henchman group. Sister Lidwina received +1 attack right away so I put a greatweapon in her hands and over the following two games bought two additional sisters for her group. Too bad they all received +1 leadership at 5 XP... My other warbands are Lizardmen and Tileans, a kitbash of Frostgrave Soldiers and Perry Miniatures Mercenaries European Infantry. Though I mostly replace their melee weapons with GW bits, otherwise the more realistic proportions would clash with the heroic scale of everything else on the field. Let me know what you think and would like to see next | |

| Hey Sinsyne, I already wrote on the german forum how I like your Sisters. One thing you wrote got me wondering: - Sinsyne wrote:
Sister Lidwina received +1 attack right away Did you roll for advances before the first game? This would be wrong, though quite a few people make this mistake. Sorry for suggesting you might have made this kind of noob-mistake, but I thought I should mention it...

| Ah sorry, I meant with her first advancement when reaching 2 XP.
Think I'll indeed do some Tileans next, the result of a kitbash should be more interesting to see than standard fare lizardmen. Though I did some nonstandard stuff with those too. The stone weaponry from the Wild Orcs are an excellent fit for saurus in my opinion.

| That is a SPLENDID start on what will potentially be a fine looking War Band. GREAT WORK! | |

| You asked for Tileans, here is the first one. Youngblood with a blunderbuss. And my first finished hired sword, a troll slayer. | |

| Really nice kitbashing work on the Sisters -- they look the part of warrior-nuns, & I get to play 'identify-the-part'. Shaping up into a fine warband.
I really like that version of a 'blunderbuss' too! It's big, ridiculous, & Perfect.
Out of interest, are those painted with Contrast paints?

| Thanks guys Since you like to play identify the part, can you tell what I used for the long steel whips on the matriarch and augur? So far I've only tested one contrast paint, Snakebite Leather. In fact these very models were the test subject, slayer's belt, youngblood's bag and shoes. I mostly use shades over basepaint followed by highlighting if I'm not yet happy with the result. The youngblood's clothes, beard and fur rim on the hat looked fine enough to me as is so I didn't feel the need to add a highlight there. And yeah I love that rockety blunderbuss, both as an eyecatching and funny bit and on the field of battle. Going against dark elves, the other player got a lucky success on the stupidity test for his cold one to charge that model to block the shot. When his first roll in that shooting phase was a crit I already thought things are going real bad. Well, it was a ricochet, going into the melee and hitting the lizard. It was stunned, taken out of action automatically in the melee phase and then I was free to shoot that blunderbuss through half his warband, taking two models out of action. That was fun | |

| Still WiP saurus braves. Just wanted you to have seen something of all my warbands. I'd like to try out Athonian Camoshade over Death World Forest for the skin, but of course the stores are closed now so I'll either have to wait an unspecified amount of time or order online to get the shade. | |

| I'm struggling to identify the steel whip parts... They could maybe be decorative tassels, like lappets, maybe off a banner pole? They're the trickiest piece for me!
Nice work on the Saurus Braves too, I really like the colour pattern & the contrast of their backs with their bellies. It helps to give them texture, & really make them stand out.

| Not too far off. Here's where it's from. The Lothern Skycutter comes with multiple leg options so I could spare that one. With metal colouring I think it's a nice fit for a steel whip. Anyway, I'm working on a sister hero and some more hired swords, should have an update for you soon | |

| Very nice stuff. I am looking at those flagellant flails and smiling to myself, because I have them lying around too, and wanted to use them on sisters of sigmar... but the chains are just drawn in such a way that the flail heads look like balloons on a string, floating in the air. Just like on your sisters with the green square bases. It's a little funny. | |
