Hey everyone. My group has just finished a Mutiny in Marienburg Campaign.. I’ve now finished editing the version of the rules we used and changed and adjusted over the 18 months. This compilation is all of Werekin’s rules, mostly intact, plus all the extra missing parts he mentioned throughout his rules, written by either Me or Nuno M. this was originally for my group, but as Werekin has now stated he is not going to finish the campaign I’ve decided to let people see it to see what you guys think.
I’ve tried to identify all the different Authors by putting their initials on the bottom of each page. So pages written by Werekin will have a WK, mine have a DL, and Nuno M will have a NM.
I’m not trying to infringe on anybodies work I just love the game, and loved BTB, and all of the Marienburg stuff Werekin has created.
Also in my dropbox folder is a Mutiny in Marienburg “Annual” of extra rules and warbands and stuff I’ve created and will implement into my Lustria campaign I’m writing.
Comments and Criticisms welcome.

Top work mate!

I'll definitely be reading through this and providing some feedback.

Always keen on new Mordheim content as I don't think GW will be doing updating it any time soon...

Dic, I’m pleased to see that you were able to enjoy campaigning with the Marienburg player aids.

Nuno was kind enough to lend his support in editing together the materials for visiting the Boatyard, so that players can go to town on customising their watercraft as I had originally intended to make possible. This support the very nature of what playing river-based scenario which is what sailing around the city of islands & bridges is all about.

I need to point out here that you are misquoting me though. This is obviously not a cool thing to do! What I have said is that I am not actively working on the campaign at this time due to personal reasons. My hiatus from skirmish design and campaign play just is what it is.

Since the hobby is fully owned and supported by the community then I am delighted to see fellow Mordheimers making use of the player aids. It’s what they were made for. It’s great to see everyone sharing their own ideas, collaborating with one another (as Cianty and I have had the pleasure of doing that for many years!!) and presenting documents which make it easier to access and run campaign in the best settings.

Please try to avoid posting anything that insinuates I have quit Mordheim. That simply is not the case! The game is too important to me to let any idle remarks of this nature stand so thank you those of you who followed the campaign for bringing this to my attention.

Peace, out!

@DicLombardi... Fantastic. I look forward to reading through this. thumbsup

@Werekin... DL might have misquoted you but I definitely was of the opinion that you were gone for good also. It seems that both of us independently read what you wrote and assumed incorrectly. I'm glad that you still have a love for Mordheim even if you are taking a break from it at this time.

I love Mordheim. I will still occasionally tweet from the shadows so you’ll catch that on the blog also.

My collection isn’t going anywhere!

It remains unclear what the heck the GW studio is doing with their original Warhammer World, except that everyone is waiting to see this new edition of WFRP which has been licensed out... It is due for release now/soon. I hope this provides inspiration and direction.

Enjoy!

The amount of work you put in this is really amazing, Dic Lombardi. The presentation as well, as I had said before Smile
Only now I realize the extend of the extra rules in your Annual. That's a lot of material, I had only seen bits! You need a website/blog to have these releases up!

I particularly like how you noted down data for wins/# of scenarios played/CPs earned, etc. I'm going to start doing that, really helps with development.

I have been quite absent from this collaborative work for the latter part of 2017 (mea culpa), unfortunately. Sad I wish I could've helped Dic a bit more before he released it. My work just had some nasty ups and downs that increased over the year and ate up my ability to properly finish anything and actually release it (everything's fine now though, at last!). I do however have many things halfway done, which I have picked up speed on now.
(Dic, I'll PM you soon with some belated feedback)

Werekin, sorry if anyone thought that!  Neutral  I know you were just on break. Don't worry, everyone here I'm sure is eager to see more rules releases from you, whenever it's possible.

Dic Lombardi, can you give us a bit of insight of what were the major things you learned/tinkered with while running the campaign? Always good advice when people are running their own.

Hey thanks for the replies everyone! Werekin, I apologise for misunderstanding and misquouting you. I definitely didn’t mean to offend, I love your work and this is by no means an attempt at a replacement, and I really hope to have your true full version one day. Cianty and you revolutionised the game with the Plot campaign system which I cant even think of mordheim without now. I’ve tried to keep my full ideas to the Annual so the main book stays more just a compliation of your work. Again sorry for misquoting you and I am glad you’re still in the game!

Hey Nuno M, sorry I jumped the gun and released it, but I was keen to move one after my campaign finally finished, and we havent “spoken” since July! But I am definitely keen to start collaborating again and I can’t wait to see more of Enemy Within. For the Stats of the campaign I had a few excel sheets going on who fought who and what scenario so I could see popluar/unpopular levels and oppoenents and some formulas for ratios and things to work out the awards, I think the players appreciated it along with the Dramatis Personae for the top 4 players. The popularity of the levels was a big help along with the special scenarios as I could see if “gateways/unlocks” to the special scenarios were too hard/easy in some cases and stuff like that.

Um as for things I learned and tinkered with the major ones were Money; The Bank made the base level of what people could buy rise much earlier on in the campaign, and people that took loans boosted ahead of those that didn’t, counteracting this involved introducing the Warp Mine for the skaven and the Daemon swamp hire system as you know Nuno.

Secondly capturing and arresting was a massive deal, lots of conversations about when you can sell/kill/sacrifice/trade dudes and when you can activate Hangmans Square was the source of much controversy, I don’t think I really solved it haha, but it looks like Nuno you may have a solution in your enemy within rules and I’ll be going ahead with using that next campaign.

Ship of the lines! People never kept ‘em, the temptation of selling them was too great.

Trade Wagons and rarity reducing, once you get a good start (say by investing your bank loan on items) on this and reduce the rarity you can get pretty much any item you want, without much risk. I counteracted this by capping the reduction at Rare 12, but maybe in the future I will make it you can only get the Rarity bonus if you bring the vehicle to the battle, so there is a greater risk/reward gameplay involved, and if you wont/cant bring the trade vehicle to battle then you don’t get the bonus.

Finally I guess for a multiple of reasons the Strength and toughness of some warriors was unprecedented! This led to some of the skill revisions you see in the Annual, but this was also to provide players with more freedom around trying new weapons and builds. Mighty Blow and Resilience had become must have standard skills for any strength build and it’s a rich get richer (or tough get tougher) situation.

Anyway that’s all if can think of for now, thanks for the comments everyone if you have anymore suggestions I really want to hear them.

Dic.

Just as an aside, what I really liked about the BTB site when I first visited was that everything was in bits. If I wanted to look at a warband, I could click on the warbands icon and then scroll down to the warband I wanted.

Similarly, when werekin published his MiM I could just click on what I was interested in. Big documents (200+ pages!) remind me of that other big web document That Has No Name...

Somehow when I first clicked on this link I found myself looking at an orc objective and related stuff... That was cool... um, where was that?

@Dic - Good stuff there man, it was a pleasure being a part of this campaign (even if I did utilise some game breaking bullshit). Shame I ch-ch-choked.

@Werekin - I understand life gets in the way, but it did sound like you were out indefinitely, a semantic issue, but you've got to give props and admiration where due, Dic took the ball and ran pretty far when seemingly a lot of the community thought you'd bailed. As much as the "community" deserves credit, Dic deserves specific praise, as do you Nuno.

@Nuno - Much appreciation for your help and input as well, we've not spoken directly, but I've heard about you and read your addition, great stuff.

@Von Kurst - It's got a contents page for that exact reason man, if you pick and choose what you want to read you'll miss a whole bunch of the juicy in-between crucialness.

Hey Von Kurst, the Waagh stuffs in the annual, I'll look into separating back out the docs, It shouldn't take long, just gotta do little author notes on each of them. It makes sense for the annual as half is "house rules" and half supplements as it were

To be honest, the only thing I can do is to thank you for this friend !!

I was very disappointed that MiM was abandoned... You just filled the gap and completed it !!

Of course, I'd have some critics but they are just mere opinions based on my own perception of the game.  It would not be pertinent to share any of them...

I just want you to take a look at an ethereal warband I made a few years ago...  Its surprising how many similarities it have with yours (from the Annual Marienburg).  Its just for fun to show you.. not in hopes you will modify yours (but I give you permissions if you want).
