Savannaheim dark and dirty in the South

We just gotten past round one on our Savannahiem league and about to start round 2.

Here are a few pics of my two warbands,

Cult of the Possessed

Warband name: Sesame Street



The warband is Slaanesh inspired

With the leader being Countess Von Count

The possessed are Big Bird and Nookie Monster

Mutants are Bert and Ernie

And my besastmen are Oscar, Grover, and Elmo

The second war band is the Dark Elves

I will take some more pictures this weekend of the table we setup and other warbands that are taking part.

That is a great theme for a Possessed band

Played 3 games today, 2 with the possessed and 1 with the dark elves. Took some pics of a few of the other warbands.

Great photos of the warbands and the table! That witch elf must be new. GW plastic or Avatars of War?

I also love the cobblestone battle mat. Which company is it from?

The Witch elf is one of the ridiculous expensive GW new plastics from a year or two back.

The mat belongs to a friend, I will ask him where he got it next time I see him.

It is a great mat, really durable, and nice mouse pad material, looking to pick me up something like it eventually.

How are the Dark Elfs doing?

The dark elves are progressing well, we have a elf handicap where they only get half xp for surviving the game so they don't level up as fast and that is for all elf warbands( high, dark and wood)

We also have an expanded equipment list from the mordheimer website, so a lot more equipment to choose from.

My star is Lyrica my Sorceress, she was lucky and got doom bolt, I have also leveled her to have +1 to cast and she has a familiar from the expanded equipment so she casts a str. 5 spell on 8+ with a reroll every turn. Looking to get her the mind focus to opt to reroll one dice instead of two.

I was also furtunate to get lads got talent on my Corsair Mucinex, so he will be pretty great with is repeater crossbow.

My fell blades are a little in hot water due to my in ablilty to roll everything they don't need ws and initiative.

I have won more than lost... We are on round two and I have two more games with them before they meet their 4 game max per round.

The Burning Sensations, dark elf warband stalks the streets of Savannaheim looking for wealth and sacrifices to their bloodthirsty God!

I started out with a Witch Hunter warband when Mordheim was released, so they are always my favorite.

I'm sorry I missed this thread until just now. The War Bands are OUTSTANDING...BEAUTIFULLY  painted creations. AND your STRIKING terrain compliments the minis WONDERFULLY...the games look TERRIFIC. VERY WELL DONE all around!

Thanks for the comments, I am working on a few brethren for the possessed and will take some close ups today of the other models.

I will be trying to get the last games in this weekend if possible for round two of the Savannaheim league. Looking to get some in game action shots as well!

Plus the terrain was an easy build, it is the 5-6 dollar Paper Mache Buildings from Hobby Lobby with some cheap balsa wood and liberal application of paint.
