| Not for the first time in the Empire's history a comet fell... It was a sign... Heralding that these are the End Times. There is a lot of gibberish being written across the world wide web on this subject. I've blogged about GW's grandest campaign ever to be published in the history of Warhammer. How has it affected your hobby? Contrary to false rumours the Warhammer world did not blow up. There is an apocalypse happening. Admittedly most of the major cities in thd Old World have fallen and Ulthuan sank. Sorry for spoilers (to whomever it may concern) but is there not anyone playing Mordheim right now who fancies visiting a new ruined location!? There are quite a number to choose from should your warbands like to go on a perilous expedition to the ruined cities of Altdorf, Carroburg, Talabheim, Middenheim, Kislev, Praag or Marienburg. Archaon's lieutenants have been busy. One by one the dwarf holds are falling as the skaven have managed to overrun everywhere else. The vermin tide stretches to all of nations of men except Bretonnia, Norsca, Cathay and beyond. I'd like to blog some more about End Times. Trouble is there is a large quantity of material been released on the subject. I've read five novels and one short story published by Black Library, and started reading a sixth novel, with a seventh End Times novel being released soon to conclude the doom of Gotrek Gurnisson (currently north of the Empire). There are four campaign books to explore too! The first volume 'Nagash' being the chunkiest at 294 pages they certainly haven't scrimped on production! Three more volumes still for me to digest and compare to their counterpart novel publications. It is the end of an era... And the new dawn of a new age. Regards, Werekin | |

| I think Deafnala once mentioned something about a post-apocalyptic fantasy setting. Of course that is what Mordheim is all about, but the Ending times has certainly made the disaster global.
The idea of exploring new places is always intresting, although it remains to be seen what will happen to the world. Will it remain an inhibited wasteland or will there be a new earth and a new heaven.

| I am interested in reading the novels but browsing Black Libraries site I am not sure which are the End Times books or their order. Just the novels, not campaign materials I suppose. | |

| @Alan - Four years, hmm I guess the idea struck a chord with me. It's such a rarely seen concept and especially von Kurst's words about crossing the devastated counties of Averland to reach Nuln inspired me. | |

The sentient Mushroom, Carnivorous Trees, & Haunted/Possessed Houses all sprung up from the Apocalypse idea. SO you're not alone in being inspired. Maybe we should revive the idea & give werekin back his thread.

| Just a bit of a bump as I didn't want to start a thread - but has anyone had any more thoughts to a POST END TIMES warhammer world/alternative ending to End Times?
I started a thread a while back which was based on the ill-informed rumour that it was all headed to pocket planes and reality bubbles, but the idea of NOT destroying the world, but just leaving it broken, with alternative factions and agendas provides an exciting backdrop.
I'll try and get some notes together - but does anyone have any ideas?

| Well...I've been modeling the idea, but without an opponent I haven't done anything about the game. | |

| Yes, because the proposition that every living and undying creature in the world being destroyed is unbelievable. | |

| I love them all! You really capture the creative essence of what drew me to warhammer many years ago. The colours are great too - I hope you don't mind me saying but they remind me a bit of my old SNES.
Werekin - what thoughts have you had? Do you ignore it, or consider any divergent storylines?
