| quick pics comments & questions welcome original idea was egyptian-ish pyramid and rooms you'll see the rooms part below but you'll see in a later post that the pyramid will be mayan-ish basically to make the "building" more playable like shown in other poster's versions as well as the old-school lustrian scenery ramp down (and back to burial chamber inside pyramid) 3 anterooms pool of radiance underground temple yes, there is a "star gate"... hopefully pyramid next time enough words! | |

| It is coming along WONDERFULLY! That does look complex though. This is a piece that careful planning becomes a necessity...that places it beyond my impromptu abilities. Keep up the GREAT WORK! | |

| After having seen your last works over a long time, i am still in awe everytime i see new creations in wood by yourself. It looks like it s going to take you hours just for sawing oder cutting out those wooden tile or stairs, most impressive! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! | I was puzzling out the sacrificial altar positioning, but the pit looks lethal enough the fall that would kill the victim without any messy preliminaries. VERY NICE PROGRESS! | |

| VK, deafnala, cuchulain23, korn, foedebolle thx again for the comments VK I agree from a historical perspective but I liked them the piece is turning out mayan-ish/meso-american on top, egyptian-ish on the bottom + a totally inaccurate spawning pool oh well, it's turned into a (fantasy) mash-up I have some exterior pyramid tiles to finish up (not shown in photos) but the construction is pretty close to done even though the floor plate/lid is still modular -- it will fit any of my ~8"x8" buildings in the cut out where the pyramid sits, this is one of the first floor plates with permanent 3D features (walls, pillars, pool, stairs) design decisions (e.g. location of walls, pillars, door openings) placed to matche up with my other modular boards probably won't get to paint this weekend... | |

| paint coming along WIP: note that the inner walls in the dungeon/underground level are not installed yet this helps to be able to paint easier after the clear coat is dry, the masking tape will be removed so that the inner walls can be glued to the base and each other with strong wood glue | |

| I love the interior views; it really is very atmospheric. The OH-SO-COOL Formerly Living Priest & the piles of treasure give a hint to just how TERRIFIC this will be for action photos & games, if so inclined. WONDERFUL WORK! | |

| ug! only 1/8th through this detail and I'm lacking inspiration! I meant to/should have carved this detail before I constructed the pyramid but got lazy/anxious and pushed ahead now I'm not so happy trying to accurately cut with a utility knife and extract material with knife and file... so a couple of crappy shots showing water effects for spawning pool and pool of radiance I simply use water based gloss varnish from hardware store staircase detail (and a note: notwithstanding the pyramid stairs, I choose to generally sacrifice architectural accuracy for playability, i.e. "flat" stairs so models can "stand") why I have a staircase a hint of the end and how a flat modular "building" transforms the board thinking of doing a "platform" building with pillars as alternative to pyramid...
