| After a couple of years away from Mordheim, I've returned to it. As usual, when I come back to the game I have loved since 1999, I am starting a new war band. Ive decided to try out the dwarves. A few friends have played them and said they are hard to begin with because they have few warriors and are slow moving. I'd like to see how they go anyway. They have some great rules and just belong in Mordheim I think. Anyway, as a gamer of the old school, I've gone with some older models from Black Tree Designs (previously Harlequin I think). I really like these models because they have characterful faces, no armour, helmets, treasure pouches and good Mordheim weapons. They look more like adventurers and less like soldiers than the current GW models. Here's a slayer (GW), Captain (Black Tree) and Engineer (GW conversion) Three Clansmen (Black Tree) Two Quarrellers (Black Tree) I'll post some progress pics as I paint them. | |

| Great choice of minis, never saw those black tree dwarfs, they really catch the 80´s feeling, very marauderish! So far so good, and now PAINT THEM! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! Bobby! Bob Parkhurst: [enters] My lord? Lord Flasheart: I want something. | I too like the Black Tree models, very characterful, and less stocky/clumsy than GW's current offerings. | |

| EXCELLENT start with some UBERCOOL minis! I just found the Black Tree USA site; their minis & the Harlequin stuff they also carry are VERY tempting. Have FUN with the painting! | |

| Thanks. They are performing pretty well in the game too. Sure, they are outnumbered and slow but they can take a lot of hits before they go down! Combining toughness 4 with going OOA only on a 6+ is driving my opponent mad! | |
