Wizard's Tower WIP

We're just kicking off and feverishly sorting out our warbands and building terrain.

Here's my stab at a wizard's tower,

The Wizards Tower looks just as OH-SO-COOL here as on L.A.M.; thanks for posting on both forums. Keep up the FINE WORK...this is going to be something SPECIAL!

Really nice piece of terrain!

And, the first rough colours have been slapped on.  Still lots to do but its coming along nicely.

Very nice. Much better painted. I like the idea of using the can for the tower itself. I'll try that but using a more studier can. . I buy conanut water from a 1 liter can which is harder then pop cans. Should do the trick.

The mottled coloring on the Tower is really attractive; AND I love the doors you made for the piece. Keep up the FINE WORK!   

Cheers DeafNala. I'm not sure if that will be the finsl colour, or if I'll add more cream ir even a layer of white. I also need to add the 'dirty'with some colour spot washes..probably brown firt dirt and msybe s bit of green for mold.

We're itching to get started though so I might cheat and buy skme GW and 4Groung buildings to bulk things out a bit.

Pudgy fingers, a touchpad, and a clattering train, are not good for accurate typing!

Are you not putting shingles on the roof of the tower?

I'll paint them on if I do. I was thinking of doing it as a sheet of copper painted with magic symbols though. What do you think?

Ooh, I like the idea of the copper roof. Exotic, as befits a wizard's tower.

Things are progressing steadily (but slower than expected this week as i had to spend some time in the foul cesspit that is London this week for work).

That wizard's tower was beautiful. Nice paint jobe. Love the banner on the front. Love the crater as well. The new building looks very cool as well.

The old WiFi is now working all that well today. From what I could see the tower looks good. I think you'd get a much better reception if you posted photos instead of links.   

I put one in DeafNala. I'm always wary about putting photos on forums. Some moderators get a bit touchy about them.
