These are some models Ive been putting together to represent characters in a series of short stories I'm currently writing, hopefully at some point I'll be able to convince some friends to play Mordheim so I can put the guys to work, equipment is really down to the character without any thought to strategic value Razz

To begin with, Captain Bat (short for Bartholomew) Rangobear of the HMS Lion's Pride

Watt, a deaf old orc who shouts "WHAT!?" when anyone talks to him, he's going to have sideburns sculpted on him once I get my green stuff on

The Pirate Lads have definite potential. Your Green Stuff plans & some background fluff will add interest enough to see them painted up. GREAT START!   thumbsup

Right, been over 6 months since I started and was subsequently distracted from this project, but here is an update for anyone who likes pirates and amateurish green stuffery!

Chum, one of two goblin brothers, Chum has a peg arm and his brother, Limpet, likes to hang toilet paper from it.

Gumby, ogre helmsman and all round helpful bloke (if a little clumsy at times). Green stuff mustache more of an experiment than anything but I think he looks pretty cool.

And deaf old Watt redux, didn't like the other model as much as this one, seems more crotchety and piratey to me.

Apologies for a couple of poor quality photos, I think the camera on my phone is about had it!

WELCOME BACK! The Lads large & small look TERRIFIC; there is lots of potential here. As a Goblin Guy to moi, Chum is the COOLEST...nice background fluff. AND I like the Gumby's mustache. GREAT WORK!   thumbsup

Thanks for the positive comments Deafnala!
Just recently I really had a hankering for some hobbying and saw these pirates kicking about on my desk.
Just got the brushes out in a flurry of excitement only to realise I've got no greens Sad
Hopefully I'll be able to get some of the human crew done though so watch this space!

Also constructed Chum's rather mischievous brother, Limpet! (Won't hurt you, honest!)

The older G.W. plastic Goblins have the most delightfully expressive faces...decidedly nuts. They are GREAT minis to for kit bashing. LOOKIN' GOOD!   thumbsup

It's been so long since I've done any Goblins in green that I found myself asking: "what does he need green for?" Free of the Dave Andrews Curse at last!   What a Face

I'll admit, I've looked upon your chromatically challenged little'uns once or twice and wondered if I fancied giving it a go myself Razz

When I first got into D&D/AD&D fantasy back in the '70s, Goblins were a reddish brown. I'm not sure when or why I wound up switching to green. I never got into in G.W. other than a Night Goblin Army that has never faced an opponent &, of course, Mordheim. It must have been the EVIL White Dwarf influence. THAT'S IT; the green is Dwarven propaganda!   Suspect
At any rate, the different shades I'm now using are more of a return to the older color than something new.   clown

Well I'm afraid my beard isn't nearly long enough to remember that far back so goblins have always been green to me, although thinking about it I have no real reference to back that up!
Hopefully I can get some appropriate colours sorted out by the weekend so the little lads can look the part.
