| I've always had a soft spot for classic fantasy models from the 90s and over time I've collected a few. Most of them are monsters and other creatures now available in Storm of Magic games, so I finally get down to paint them First, Dieter Helsnicht's Manticore (1994) Dieter Helsnicht himself is waiting until I buy some Undead models to lead them in a Pact (SoM) or as mercenaries (T&T). |

| That is one VERY COOL Old Nasty! Other than a vague remembrance from some long lost White Dwarf, I'm unfamiliar with the mini & its rider...lots of the old Citadel stuff never made it across The Pond or, at least, not to my hobby shop haunt. It certainly paints up SPLENDIDLY. WELL DONE! | |

| Thanks It was a real pleasure to paint. Plastic and resin are so much better for converting, but the feeling of a metal model is something completely different. And here you have the model in the original Heavy Metal style...not the best quality, but it's the only image available. |

| Thanks for the photo. That is pretty wild; the early 'Eavy Metal touch is unmistakable. Although it is a classic, it's new to moi...that's a paint job I would never forget. | |

| If that was a blast from the past, what about those? Zoat (1991), a gift from a friend I painted a couple of years ago. Recently I've just added the vegetation Air Elemental (recast of a 1985 sculpt), this is a pre-slottabase model, so I've added the base |

| Some more additions to the vintage gallery. Cave Drake (recast of a 1985 sculpt) I just twisted the raised claw, neck and tail to make it a bit more tridimensional and as always sculpted the base. Water Elemental (recast of a 1985 sculpt) For this one, the only addition is the base. |

| EXCELLENT! The Fire Elemental is a SPLENDID mini with a FINE bit of brushwork & basing to add the the appeal. It looks as if the ground around the him is melting... GREAT EFFECT. AND I love Group Portraits. VERY WELL DONE!

| Lovely old sculpts. It is always a pleasure to see somebody actually painting these old classics instead of just posting them on ebay for ridiculous amounts.
Great work! | |

| @Alex: no chance of me doing that! If it was not for these old models (and the Elementals' appearance as illustrations on HeroQuest magic cards) I'd never got into the hobby. No money can match this value @Alan: good! The melting effect was exactly what I was looking for |
