This is a fun scenario i created about 10 years ago for our Mordheim group, it played out very well. Create a statue miniature approx the size of a regular figure or larger, and tie a long rope to it.
1 Warband has found an ancient and powerfully evil statue and is trying to get it back to their lair.
Deciding which Warband:
Each player rolls 2D6 +1 per 4 members in the Warband. Highest number has statue.
Set up:
Small "lair" terrain piece (church, etc) is placed in the center of the map. 24" away is the statue with the Warband. they set-up first and will go first. Other Warbands set-up normally, but not within 14" of statue.
Statue is heavy:
2 members pulling on rope(minimum) will drag the statue 2".
3 members 3".
4 members 4" etc, with a maximum of 8 members for 8".
Rope cannot be cut. large creatures count as 2 members for 2"
Roll to see what order of play for Warbands, but the statue group goes first.
Objective:
The starting Warband is to get the statue to touch the edge of the small lair terrain piece in middle. Other Warbands, to stop them or take control of the statue, and drag off any table edge.
Experience:
+1 to winning Warband
+1 to heroes who took someone out of action
Possession of statue rewards to Warband:
Warband may sacrifice 1 shard of Wyrdstone before a battle, and get 1D3 Heroes to roll on "Eye of God" spell chart.
Only 1 shard per game. No need to roll a "7" to make spell go off in game.
Witch Hunters and Sisters of Sigmar may destroy the statue if they win statue, and gain 4 shards of Wrydstone, but statue is destroyed forever.
